We are currently seeking Research Analysts with a focus in competition to join our Brussels office. Preference will be given to French speaking candidates with immediate availability .
Our Research Analysts (RAs) are involved in diverse, challenging assignments within a stimulating, collegial work environment. As a key member of our Competition practice, you will help design and implement cutting-edge economic analysis of complex antitrust and competition issues. Your analyses will shape high-profile cases on behalf of leading international law firms and corporations. The wide variety of engagements including mergers, collusion, abuse of dominance and state aid cases at the European Commission and national competition authorities, as well as litigation context before national courts. The diversity of our project-based work will provide for a continuously exciting and novel career experience.
The RA’s role within the team is to assist in developing the theoretical and empirical analyses and argumentation to support our clients’ case. Major focus areas for new Research Analysts therefore include theoretical modelling and econometrics, industry analyses, literature review and background research.

Across your tenure as a RA you will gain skills in applied economics, quantitative methods and economic theory as well as an understanding of aspects of competition law. You’ll work in a cooperative and fun atmosphere that melds dedication to project success and individual professional development. You’ll have the opportunity to discover where your interests lie and how you can best apply your skills. By the end of the first year, typically you will have learned to conduct basic research, apply economic tools to specific competition issues (e.g. product and geographic market definition), perform quantitative analyses on large datasets, and present research findings in a clear and consistent manner.
