You strengthen the EU Health Information System Unit, this research team participates in European projects in health information, and specifically you will work on the Joint Action on the European Health Data Space (TEHDAS) and HealthyCloud – Health Research & Innovation Cloud; both projects are contributing to the setup of the European Health Data space.
You participate in meetings and organize the relevant work package in TEHDAS and Healthycloud.
You perform a landscape analysis of data availability in relevant publicly funded and open health data repositories, registries and infrastructures in health sciences
You capture the European data collections availability for research purposes and to understand the level of FAIRness across different data sources.
You evaluate the FAIRness maturity of a representative set of data collections gathered.
You create in collaboration with European partners a set of guidelines on metadata for FAIR data catalogues
You define and develop the evidence for secondary use of health data by identifying data sharing practices across Europe, to provide information to the European Health Data Space and the European Commission’s legislative proposals.
You collaborate with colleagues on outreach and engagement of national and international players
You process your research results into reports and scientific publications.
You will work close to Brussels-South and have the opportunity to make short trips to other European countries.
Le profilMaster in public health, social, or (bio)medical sciences, or (bio)statistics
Experience with (systematic) review, data-mining tools or guidelines development
Good knowledge of public health, health information data and care systems
Good editorial skills (e.g. scientific publications or reports)
Languages: very good knowledge of English (orally and in writing); knowledge of Dutch and/or French is an asset
Generic competences: working in a team, independent, scientific mind, self-development, setting up and maintaining networks, good organization and coordination skills
Appreciated complementary experiences: policy-supporting scientific work; knowledge of European and international institutions and agencies
L'offreAn ambitious project within an international framework
Fixed-term contract: 24 months starting 1/03/2020.
Salary scale : SW11; fringe benefits such as insurances; free commuting with public transport
