A truly global company, we are 160 nationalities working in more than 100 countries About Fixed Networks Our Fixed Networks (FN) business group provides an array of gigabit to the home solutions to deliver data access to our communication service provider (CSP) customers. This includes Fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) as well as 5G fixed wireless access (FWA), xDSL and cable upgrades. We build solutions that dont stop at the home but also bring that gigabit experience into the home using our meshed Wi-Fi solution. Job Description General Purpose: - To contribute to test and development of automated test scripts which are essential in delivering high quality software and hardware products- To bring NOKIAs product innovations and evolutions to the market faster and at higher quality than the competition as part of a multi-disciplinary agile team of senior experts and supported by state-of-the-art development and test technologies, tools and processes Job Responsibilities & Competencies - Defines intelligent tests for complex systems, detecting non-quality upfront in the development process- Develops automated test scripts that ensure sustained, top level quality of subsequent software releases - Delivers for quality of the test scripts- Troubleshoots issues (taking traces, interacting with key SW developers, etc.) in a complex embedded system- Interacts with project managers to give them regular updates of identified issues Qualifications - Engineering degree or a degree in Computer Science/ Telecommunications/Electronic (or 5 years of experience) - Broad interest in the Telecom sector - Knowledge of real-time operating system concepts (interrupts, tasks, concurrency, ) - Knowledge of written C or C++ programs - Knowledge of cloud concepts - Genuine interest in new technologies and read/implement internet RFCs - Ability to work fluently with Unix/Linux (as operating system) - Basic knowledge of IP, and/or GPON/U-NGPON technologies - While growing in the role, get an in-depth understanding of new telecommunications protocols and/or Nokias hardware platforms, and the way customers are deploying them - Ability to draw and explain/document your design in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) - Belief in KISS principle - Eagerness and agility to learn fast and be challenged on a daily basis - Passion in handling complex systems and projects - Keen on working in a multicultural environment - Having no problems with taking up responsibilities - Creativity and high efficiency - Application of creative solutions to complex technical problems and out-of-the-box thinking - Team-working skills but also ability to work independently - Fluently in English (oral and written) Imagine creating technology that has the potential to change the world.
