Follow Us on LinkedIn: YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure that all import/export transactions are in compliance with European Customs Law and submitted on a timely and accurate manner Interface with suppliers to ensure their understanding of Trade Compliance documentation requirements for both inbound and outbound movements. Support management of the integrity of trade data for local European purposes (i.e. tariff code, country of origin, customs valuation) and maintenance of the system in which they are stored. Provide the correct documentation and information concerning tariff classification, customs valuation, and country of origin Monitor EU trade compliance regulatory and legislative changes and alert the appropriate parties internally on the impact to the business Assist in the development of solutions to issues faced by the businesses and the necessary controls around any change Support import/duty management projects that focus on driving efficiencies or cost savings for the company Provide knowledge sharing to improve business knowledge and operational performance, and ensure compliance with importing/exporting regulations Assist in the capturing and analyzing of metrics associated with trade operations for reporting up to the regional Supply Chain and Global Trade Compliance leadership Assist in the execution of the self-audit program to ensure continued compliance with customs law and internal policies. Reporting of findings to Trade Compliance leadership YOUR PROFILE Bachelor degree (or equivalent through work experience) in Business Strong knowledge of European customs regulations and processes Good understanding of supply chain processes Basic understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles and practices Aptitude for development and documentation of processes and procedures Change management, project management , ability to work in a self-directed manner. Strong writing and technical documentation skills Software knowledge : MS projects, MS office and Donaldson ERP systems. Ability to work independently/ taking initiative Exceptional analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities required Communication skills Assertiveness Prepared to travel occasionally for short periods of time Languages: English (required), any other European language is an asset.
