The aim of the Excellence Center is to support the GBUs to accelerate the value delivery of Operational Excellence initiatives and fully leverage the potential of emerging digital technologies.

Job Overview and Responsibilities

Excellence Center is opening a position to support the E2E transformation program in the area of Planning (incl. forecasting). The candidate will support and lead Planning implementation projects in the different GBUs worldwide. He/She will also participate to the definition & design of new Planning and Forecasting standards and tools, fostering standardization and harmonizationMain accountabilities:
  • Provide expertise for Planning processes and tools (S&OP, forecasting, Inventory management, supply planning,...) and performance improvement (KPI setting and up-lifting)
  • Be accountable for the effective and successful performance driven transformation of these processes in the various business units to sustainably augment Solvays capabilities
  • Accompany IT-experts on tools implementation projects to, in parallel, ensure process transformation.
  • Collaborate with other transversal programs (logistics, commercials, procurements, ...)
  • Challenge current ways of working
  • Assure that good practices are summarized in a playbook, that are shared between sites/BUs and constantly further developed
  • Participate in Planning Process network (network of GBU experts & Excellence Center)
  • Education and Experience

  • Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Chemical or Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Supply Chain domain
  • Operational experience in chemical or process industry preferred
  • Strong expertise in Planning processes
  • Good knowledge of other Supply Chain processes (logistics, transport and distribution)
  • Skills

  • Strong project management and transformational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a global environment, with cross functional teams and in project mode.
  • Good oral/written communication and computer skills
  • Fluent in English
  • High degree of autonomy
  • Ability to work in a global team environment and in project mode
