Compliance with Excellence

At Athora Belgium, we seek an accomplished Compliance Officer to support our mission of providing expert guidance and ensuring a high level of monitoring. This role is part of our Compliance team, responsible for Privacy BAU activities and projects, including analysis of requested cases, rendering Privacy opinions, and treating requests from Group, internal clients, or external customers and third parties. Our team consists of five colleagues waiting for your expertise.

Your Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and implement necessary systems and documentation to comply with the applicable outsourcing and privacy framework.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations for the insurance sector.
• Draft and execute specific parts of action and monitoring plans.
• Contribute to the Compliance Risk Assessment and analysis.
• Monitor compliance risks in line with the Plan.
• Report on specific compliance risks (internal and external) and implementation of standards, following internal standards and local regulations.
• Ensure Athora Belgium has adequate policies and procedures in place, as well as the necessary knowledge in areas of expertise.

Your Profile

• A university degree in Law, Economics, or Management or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a financial institution (preferably a Life insurance company).
• Extended knowledge in data protection.
• Fluent English and excellent knowledge of French or Dutch, with a good command of the other national language.
• Rigorous, organized, and able to manage priorities and respect tight deadlines.
• Able to work and learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
• Analytical mind, solutions-oriented, and able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Autonomous, quick to take the initiative, and open to new ideas.
