Key Board

Key Board

'You cannot find the solution with the same mind that created the problem', he wrote the truth on a piece of paper. He did it again. And again. Meanwhile his laptop waited for his attention. Undivided. The keyboard contained the key. In every expression of the word. There it was. Popped up. From another dimension. The key was there. Always had been. It just needed to be seen. Truly seen. Observed. Noted. In utmost detail. The key felt like a king. Knowing that it had special value to the ones who would cross its path.

He could not believe his eyes. The key arrived. He could touch it. Really touch it. It felt good. He held it in his hands. Opening and closing. His whole hand was involved. His fingers were overwhelmed with happiness. Finally. There it was. He waited so long for it. Yet, he had no clue that one day, the key would be in his living experience. Although the universe played a game with him. In a playful way. Key. Keyboard. It gave notifications, clues. Waiting for him to notice the little signs. Proud when he did.

The key was closest to the word 'enter'. He understood that he had to enter a new page. The time was ready to take some action. He trusted the signs. Delete the past, end the previous chapter, page down and up. Orders. The keyboard told a story. It all had a meaning. More than he would ever have guessed. Left, right, down, up. The map appeared. He looked at the window. It opened. By itself. A movement. Entered. The key moved too. He followed the main actor. With focus. Complete focus. The mind that created the problem was shut down. A different mind got activated. Another level.

She saw him from the other side of the street. A man on a mission. Her keyboard untouched. Window open. He knocked on the door. To have a conversation with her. She allowed it to happen. He had the key to the apartment. As if he was home. To her. With her. Whatever the word. It all fitted. Of course. They both looked at the key. With astonishment. This was the element that had been missing. Now it was there. In his hands. 'Can I hold it?', she asked. 'Be careful', he replied. She turned the key. To find more detailed information. She was curious. So was he.

Then she kept it close to her ears. It talked. To her soul. Shared some mysteries. She listened. Very well. He observed her being. Wanted to know what was going on. She seemed to be hypnotised. Nothing could bring her out of focus. He watched her eyes and body language. Seriously taken over. By the whole. Then she made some notes. What a long minute. For him. It counted double. It even tripled. She was convinced about something. He could tell. Two pages. Make it four. Then the key was silent again.

'Here you go', she whispered. She gave him the notes and stretched her legs and arms. Ready to drink a cup of coffee. With utmost concentration he went over the lines. Left to the right. One line after the other. Repeating, letting it sink in. More and more. They did not say a word. To each other. Just collected the information. The key became invisible from the moment it shared the message that needed to be heard. The keyboard restored itself. More keys to be revealed over time. Not sooner. They left the apartment.

The door of his apartment left wide open. The keyboard on the table. Like a statue. No force at first sight. The numbers played hide and seek. Doing maths. In the background. There were independent. Having fun. She felt his rush. Adapted to the rhythm. His pace. She walked faster. To keep up with him. A spaceship waited fo them to come aboard. On the roof of a tall building. They were ready for the flight. The world in which they used to live, became smaller. Almost a dot. Connecting the dots. A series of new experiences announced their arrival. They accepted it. Holding each other closely.

''The keyboard contained the key''. The more we digitalized our lives the more we use words and new ways of using them and you are a keyboard maestro . Surely that's good news :-)

You have weaved a beautiful tapestry of the ''interconnectedness' of all beings ...The canvas of thought creates the story...each chapter an opportunity to set sail for new horizons...Your imaginative writing captures the hearts and minds of many...I absolutely love this piece;-)
