Mentoring = Average + Fire

Winter. The weather is bad. It rains constantly. People wake up early and go to work to pay their bills. Bills that never stop. Men and women come home from work and look at the clock. Little time left. Obligations demand attention. Cook a nice meal, listen to the children, give a partner love and attention. Wash the dishes. The list of duties goes on and on. The television screen in the corner. Another night. The average life. No escape. Time to sleep. Dreaming about more. If only there was a way to change the course. Another day. Repetition. Killing softly the fire.

Average is easy. Too easy. It is comfy. No challenges. No exit from the comfort zone. First chapter in the dictionary of life. It is the place where everyone finds a seat. Tickets for free. We see scenes that are common. Nothing special at all. It is just so ordinary. What if we would be able to touch the sky? Imagine ... just imagine that we could have it all ... that what puts our soul on fire ... Our wings restored. To fly high. Is that an option? A realistic one? Could we really live our best life? Feel so good about our life that our eyes smile in a gently way?

A mentor could be the missing piece in our lives. Sometimes we need to hear the words that change our modus vivendi. A person that has the courage to speak to our soul. Who is not afraid to confront us. Removing our obstacles. Dancing with our ego. These beings are special. Sent from heaven or above. They touch us in a way that never can be described with words. It is about healing energy. Pure transformation. Profound change. We meet them, all of us, once in a while, they visit us when we need them the most.

True mentorship is a gift from the universe. When we are willing to listen to the voice of the mentor, we feel an explosion of energy deep within. After the cold stones have been removed. We are called to approach our life from another perspective. The blind spots are tackled. Forever. The fire inside us moves our being. A new life awaits us. The mentor has the power to see what needs to be changed. He or she has the courage to tell us the truth. When he or she shares his or her precious lessons with us, we need to be quiet - for once - and allow it all to enter deeply.

The truth seekers and the truth providers build a winning team. It is about giving and taking in the most adorable balancing act. Our mentors walked the path. Before us. They have completed their assignments. Successfully. They graduated with brilliance. Ready to give back. What they have received. A never ending story about happiness. Continuous improvement. We all can become a better version of ourselves, if we are willing to face the facts about our current situation. Reach higher. And even higher.

Let us surround ourselves by people that are genuinely interested to mentor us. Let us listen to the lessons we need to hear. The eyes of the mentor see what we cannot see ourselves. They bring us a piece of our soul back. They restore our faith in ourselves. The fire can only burn when we are reunited with the essence that defines us. What if we all have wings that can be repaired at all times, whatever the hardship we experienced? What if there is always sunshine after the storm?

Trusting our mentor, is the best decision we can ever make. Our mentor somehow knows what we are capable of doing. Once we have done our home work. He or she feels our true strength and is aware that we deserve to be in a better place than the average. So take a break and reflect consciously on the information that a mentor is giving. From average to fire, from A to F, requires hard work, but it is all worth it in the end. Do not settle for average, commit to excellence. Let us set our soul on fire! The way our ego perceives ourselves is far from the truth. The mentor has the key to open the door to our true value!

Well, it's a bit specialized, as it focuses on the data science angle (i.e. mentoring in data science). Also, I publish all of my videos at a subscription-based platform so I cannot share them with everyone. Thank you for your article though. It is about giving and taking in the most adorable balancing act. These lines stand as the base when seeking a mentor. You need to give your trust and let go of your doubt and take the advice of the mentor and listen with your eyes open to the change that you can bring about within yourself. I am mentor and a mentee and I just show other just the pathway and tools available but I don't attempt to hold their hand or write for them. It's your journey and you are in the driver's seat.I am just a spectator and the voice that helps you realise that you can do it. Love the buzz and I leave us with one thing to take away from this buzz. You are the only who has true faith in yourself. Self-realization and trust in oneself will help us use the ingredients given by the mentor. Stay awesome always #beBeesforever

mentor is teaching the communicating meaning road of life, then adaptation is linked with meaning. Adaptation can only be successful when we understand what it is we are adapting to.

I find mentors in this and mentors in that. What truly defines a mentor? I would love to find one that would wrap me in discourse and discussion in such a way that I would emerge to be the best person possible. I suppose it is all relative to definition.
