No Cold Feet Anymore

No Cold Feet Anymore

The forest was enjoying a peaceful climate. The old men were talking and digging up some great memories. The men's personalities were strong and joyful. Arms wide open to capture each other's message. The sun caressed the branches most tenderly. She was always part of this reunion. The color green was obvious. So much green light was given in those precious encounters. A little boy witnessed the circle of brave men and wanted to learn a lesson. One of the big masters noticed that need.

He asked the boy to come closer to watch something extraordinary. The boy did as he was told and stepped forward. The memories were wonderful, but that was not just by coincidence. Before these memories could have been created, the men had to do some kind of practice. The big man saw the wonder in the eyes of the boy. He clearly wanted to know more. The big man moved his feet and asked the boy to search for the exact place where those big feet were placed. The boy started to follow the natural line. It took a lot of time. Many hours even.

The sun was already willing to call for the moon as the light was decreasing, when the boy knew exactly where the feet were hidden. He wanted to give the answer to the big master, but the eyes of the master were closed. Maybe he was reflecting deeply or had fallen asleep. But as wise masters do, they give others the chance to come up with their own truth as long as it was valuable for their pupil's development and inner growth. So the boy talked out loud and shared his insights.

The boy believed that the feet were covered under many layers of sand. It was hard to move the man. That means that he was very stable to the core. No influence whatsoever from an unstable source. The seeds of the experiences therefore had every chance to blossom and become the most beautiful plants. That could explain why the big men had so many great encounters during their lifetime. The boy wanted to experience the same. He realised that he had homework to do. For many years he would focus on nurturing his core.

The master felt blessed. Each time he could pass a gift to a younger one, he felt his heart growing. Proud of the smart boy, he opened his arms even more. To let more light in. In a decade this boy would turn into one of the bigger blessings of the forest, that was a given. The boy did his utmost best to grow stronger every day. Each lesson learned was a present to himself as well as his fellow friends. His feet were strongly embraced by the earth. More balanced and more loved, he kept on singing a melody of wonder.

Years later the big man heard how the little boy from the past became a master himself. It happened exactly in that moment where the little boy from years ago expressed the following to his own student and follower. "The day where you have no cold feet anymore, is the day where you will have reached a milestone. Move your feet around, dance and do some more exercises. When you remain grounded, you will have developed the right mindset to create the greatest memories". The youngest boy started to smile, as he saw its own potential reflected in the woods. "No cold feet" … anymore.
