No Mercy. Work For It, Darling!

No Mercy. Work For It, Darling!

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. We all want success, but how bad do we want it? Sometimes we are fighting a battle within with the risk of giving up. End of story. Or are we writing a new chapter? It is easy to stop walking or to choose the easy road when the going gets tough. Let us use a different angle. Imagine the person we can become when we choose another path. What person can we be when we see the growth hidden in the process? There are some tricks that we can use to come out stronger of that inner battle.

What is our real choice: the doom or boom scenario?

  • Accept a moment of defeat

Let us be honest. Radically honest. No sense to pretend the opposite is true. We all have moments where we feel weaker. Everything looks darker and cloudy. It is cold in our soul. Our shoulders down. Our eyes sad. Not much hope. When we start to fight these vulnerable moments and worry too much over it, we are far from home. Then the doom scenarios are written. With our own mind and imagination. We play the main role in the negative outcome. We will fall deep. However, when we start to apply compassion on ourselves, we can just be silent and let it all happen without giving it too much attention and power. We are watching a series on tv. From a distance. Nothing less, nothing more.

  • Understand the human factor

It is human to be confronted with limitations that we have created ourselves. Yet, sometimes we are stronger than we think. We all have participated in experiences, where we thought that we had no energy left. While running, we feel so tired that we would like to stop. Then magic happens. A mysterious force takes over. We get wings and are surprised. This effect only proves that parts of us can sabotage us. So much more is possible when we believe in ourselves. Being human is not always easy, but let us be the athlete that always commits to endurance. Let us do it for ourselves, not for the audience watching. Inspire them by focusing on our actions.

  • Be a warrior

Is it bad to fight for what we truly want? Certainly it demands our efforts and time, but ... success tastes so much sweeter when we had the courage and patience to give our goals our full commitment. It is the story that is written during our growth process and the person we are becoming, that puts a smile on our face when we are much older. Let us look back for a moment. Where have we been a warrior for a good cause and how did that change us for the better? What can we teach our children when we set the example first? The warrior in us will never die, we just need to press the button to activate the hero in us.

  • Follow the leader, or lead the follower

In our environment there are leaders and followers. Every profile matters. We choose the profile that serves our growth and when which profile has the most meaning. The leader and the follower can successfully work together. They can even be both part of ourselves. There will be moments where we will have to learn to follow and times where we better be a leader. Success demands balance. It is practical to be flexible and adjust our approach when needed. Leadership and followership are both worthy of our attention. Let us give them room and let them shape our reality how we want it. Let the engineer in us do what needs to be done.

  • Exercise success

Between sport and success there is another word: it is called training. We have to exercise our success muscles and train, train and train. There are plenty of role models that share their success recipes on videos, in articles and books. When we want to listen, really listen, we can learn a lot from others. All the models had to gather experience first, before they were able to create knowledge in a given field. It is rare that someone is born with knowledge. Most humans need to do the work first and then they can share with others what they have learned. The practice of exercise is the best way to improve our skills to thrive in life.

  • Do not stop

Never stop. It is useless. Rest is allowed. Now and then. Once we start, we need to finish the assignment that life has given us. The feeling of quitting is not the best feeling in the world. It only keeps us small. We are meant to shine. Stopping is saying to ourselves, that our life and how it unfolds, does not really matter to us. The risk is that we become careless and lose all interest in life, in ourselves and in others. Without a clear goal in our lives we drift away from each meaning that we could give to our existence. Let us not be a ship with no sails on the wide ocean called life. Ships are the most fascinating when they sail towards their unique destiny. With pride.

  • Let our actions make the noise

It is obvious. To get from point A to Z, we need to take action. Action is the one thing that ensures that change happens. There will always be more, on the other side of action. When we desire a certain outcome, we need to sit down and decide what actions we can take to make that outcome happen. It is proven that when we write down the actions, mention a specific deadline and commit to these actions, we always will improve our circumstances. So let our actions make lots of noise. Let the world listen to the sound of movement within ourselves and observe the manifestations that are achieved by that sound.

No mercy. We need to work for what we want. It is as simple as that. During our journey we can rest a bit, close our eyes for a moment, but then we need to get up on our feet again. The battle within ourselves can be the hardest competition ever, but with strong awareness and the commitment to never give up, we will always win our inner game, which might be the most important one. It can make or break us. There are coaches, mentors and trainers everywere, who are willing to give us a helping hand, when we need some additional support. Others can steer and guide us, but we must do the work. Nobody can do that for us. What is our value? Let us show it in our actions. Time to boom!

Very nice buzz . You wrote, "During our journey we can rest a bit, close our eyes for a moment, but then we need to get up on our feet again." Couldn't agree more but for some of us it may take a bit longer to get back on our feet depending on the circumstances. The key is to keep focused on the end goal which helps when someone may feel like their feet can't hit the floor running.

Interestingly you started with the notion of success, I think that definition varies and is different to people depending where they are in life. Maybe it is not giving up they do maybe they reassess, refine , maybe the optics are blind. :-)

well said innovative bee stephan metral \ud83d\udc1d Innovative Brand Ambassador, you definitely contribute to that constructive community that beBee is! Thank YOU for that.
Tagged or not tagged it is important to share each other good pieces, SMA and big data software no can monitor who are your real fans and interactive operators of affinity propagation. because realtionship matters. i dont note limit to myself just to find relevant a quality content (who could be perceived as " as-a-no-thanks-i-will-not-propagate-but-i-will-politely-like-it"), i truely care for my peers exposure, because reliable relationship matters. That is the difference between a constructive community and a smiling at each other contest in a public event cocktail party....LOL
