Reptilian Brain For Sale

Reptilian Brain For Sale

Now that I understand how my reptilian brain tried to stop me from change, I would love to put in on eBay and sell it. I do not need it any longer. I am sure that there are still some dormant reptiles who would love to have such a device to play it safe. As for me, it does not serve me anymore. Of course I am grateful that it kept me protected in my comfort zone all those years, but frankly it is enough now. I am so sorry, reptilian brain, but you have no longer control over my life. Now I will choose another tool to create the rest of my life. That is why I welcome every conscious part of me to step in. I am ready to celebrate that new power.

While I sell my reptilian brain, I might as well put every old thought, feeling, behavior, habit, fear, worry and doubt that no longer matches my new me, on the market. The time is on my side. I choose to be the creator now. I understand that as long as I carry my reptilian brain around, I still will experience some struggle, but frankly, I do not care too much anymore about it. I let go. I have faith that I will get there. I do see the future already without my reptilian brain and it looks great. I feel relieved and whole. Finally I lost the need to carry that heavy weight around. Reptilian brains will always exist but not in my world.

As with all goodbyes, of course I feel a bit pain and regret. But I am aware that this goodbye is a healthy choice. That is why I will not look back for too long. A next chapter can only start if I have the courage to close an old one. That is how books are read. It would be terrible to read a chapter and then decide to go back in the storyline. That makes no sense at all. Even reptiles would not step back once they hang out in the wild, would they? The circumstances are perfect and my conscious mind approves all plans. Time to unfold them. Step by step. With a clair personal vision the road will be easy and pleasant.

My comfort zone does not feel comfortable anymore. What is in a name? I have to leave it. I prefer to dive in the unknown than to stay in what I know so well. The ocean of the unknown looks like a bright adventure. I want to discover a new path and I embrace every novelty. It feels good to stretch. A new comfort zone is not what I am looking for since my reptilian brain is no captain of my ship anymore. Let me get used to the habit of expanding myself wholeheartedly and completely. The time laughs with my bold confidence but loves it so much. Waves with unknown presents roll in and the ocean keeps on bringing more of that good substance.

I just got a message. Some buyer wants my reptilian brain. EBay works fine. I sell it for more than the original price. The buyer is happy. He finally can rest in his comfort zone. He feels comfortable there. No change needed. No action requested. I feel lighter. Where once was my reptilian brain is now space for creativity. I am not the same anymore, but I have become more of what I am meant to be. Change comes when we are ready. In divine timing. It was meant to be. The ocean moves. The ship is ready to leave the shore. The reptilian brain turns around. Its storyline has come to an end. The creator had enough of it. Let us move on.

Wonderful buzz change is good, however I still would not sell my reptilian brain, Darwin once said 'it is not the strongest of species that survives, its the one that is adaptable to change' :-) We are all unique and special people, if others do not identify or connect with that fact, best to spend time with people that do :-)

What a delightful, inspiring and unique read - you ROCK ! There is such joy in letting go; the act of surrendering rather than 'engineering'. I washed my brain too much - now its all smooth and spongy :)

Liesbeth, Imagine standing on a precipice with the sea crashing a hundred feet below. Dive! Leap headfirst with arms up thrust to cleave the waves. Now hear the high pitched voices of dolphins as one offers you a dorsal fin to take you out to sea. Go with the flow. Sail into the joy of the experience but know that the water that lifts you up or drags you down is one and the same. Yin and yang must co-exist for life to have meaning.

HaHa! Great piece Exciting times indeed! The growing, advancing and progressing. The trick is to make the "abyss of the unknown", to make those uncharted waters your "comfort zone", it's all a matter of perspective. :-)
