She Could Not Hear Him. At First.

She Could Not Hear Him. At First.

He was in his room. All by himself. Reflecting on his life. In his hands a book, a love story. He looked at it. First time he saw such a thing. He did not know how to handle it. It was a gift from a woman he had met. She gave it to him. It happened in a moment where he was confronted with the unknown. The book cover was hard. Glossy. With a special feature. It invited the reader to respond back to the voice within the book. A space to write down words, on the left side. When he went through the pages he was pulled forward. Like the wind pushing a paper sheet to dance. Wings set free.

The book was reading him. He was not aware of it. Love had always been out of reach for him. He saw people in the street who touched each other's hands. Weird from his perspective. He was the independent one. No need to fill the spaces next to him. Although, he was human too. Sometimes he felt like a little boy, wanting to receive the warmth and unconditional love from his mother. He never remained long in this thought. His heart was a place where nobody could come. It was his and his alone.

When he saw her for the very first time, her hair was a mess. A gorgeous heart. Her eyes made all the difference. When he looked inside her eyes, he felt a strange impact. Her words were a gentle stream of energy. Ocean breeze. Suddenly she was gone. He received a present. The book. The book was ready to read all of his chapters. Somehow curious it jumped for a minute right to the end. A happy ending. No need to choose a speedy process. The journey more a blessing than the destination.

The book saw an obstacle. A heavy stone in the middle of his brave heart. His ability to express and feel his deepest emotions was covered. Wounded during the course of time. The book could see all the circumstances. Perfect to come up with a cure. The shape of a tear appeared just for one second on the page. Books can feel too. Soon back into balance. A mission to accomplish. The question was deep. A breakthrough required. He would have to learn again to express what was deep inside of him. Safe to do so. All well.

Lessons learned. Walking through the chapters. The book was a great guide. "Take a pen", it said. He obeyed. Grabbed a pen. His first memory of a loving scene was projected in his mind. He wrote the scene down. A young boy and a young girl. In a wonderful setting. Innocent. Exchanging beauty and bliss. He felt a warmth. He took her in his arms. She smiled. A scent so pure. She touched his cheeks in a very sweet way. He reacted with a kiss. In slow motion. The first kiss in the summer. Colorful as a butterfly. A moment to never forget. Life was magnificent.

The painful memories were erased at once. Replaced by more delicious summer memories. His faith renewed. The book asked him to write down what he needed right now. A precious moment. A gesture from his heart. The pen moved. In circles first. Then straight lines. The words appeared: "I love you soul much". She heard his words. The cure freed him. Poison gone. His hand was shaking. The pen fell down. He saw her back. A brand new start. A dream coming true. The book changed its cover. A new title. New story. Written with unconditional love.

We must treasure the good memories, because with the passage of time we will not be able to know which ones we will remember, whether the good ones or the bad ones. Many thanks
