The Heart's Treasure

Deep within us a mysterious muscle works day in day out to keep us all alive. A humble servant that displays the art of patience. An invisible and wise life force. It sings when we are happy, it changes pace when we adjust our emotions. It can cry, shout, laugh, be in peace or be on fire. It always guides us on a beautiful journey, walking with us on the path we take. When was the last time we took time to hear our heart beating? Do we return the love that we are given? It talks constantly to us. A voice so pure as crystal. It shares the truth.

It whispers softly in our ears the things we need to hear. Just as a loving father or mother, it tells us what is good for us and what does not serve our well-being. But it sets us free anyway. We are allowed to make choices that go against our heart. And once we realize it was not the best choice, it welcomes us always back - with open arms - and continues to take excellent care of us as if nothing happened. With deep healing power. Unconditional love from the heart. How lucky we are to have such a supportive companion for a life time. What can we do to nurture it more?

Let us start by giving it all energy it deserves. As with all matters of the heart, we need to give it our undivided attention. In our modern world we might forget that listening is the gateway to a paradise of splendid moments of joy, gratitude, beauty and oneness. When we practice listening to our heart, we become better in establishing deeper bonds with the hearts of others. We give permission to our environment to respect the sound of their treasure. Imagine how all our hearts light up from the dark, once we truly connect to who we really are. Authentic hearts are the most powerful weapons against superficial and toxic behavior. Let us protect our precious jewel.
