Turned Into Redwood

Once upon a time a gorgeous man lost his heart to a special woman. Soul deep love. He waited long for her. Very long. All his life. She was his most preferred woman on earth. She did not answer any of his love notes. He even wrote her a book, expressing his deep love, and delivered the present. Red roses too. She simply returned it all to the sender. The clock was ticking.The absence of love pushed him over the edge. How could it be that all people seemed to fall in love, so easily? Was he invisible? Did Cupido make a mistake? He felt unloved. His eyes reflected pain. He destroyed his home.

In the forest he found a large tree. Inside the tree he felt protected. Nature loved him unconditionally. From day one. He could not eat and drink for months. Slowly he turned into redwood.  He was redwood. No difference. No traces. The tree absorbed his body. No clothes needed. Only his soul was free to leave the forest. Now and then. Via a hole in the tree his soul escaped easily. It became his window to the rest of the world. Years later, nobody remembered his name. A forgotten man. The forest was silent. Breathing in and out.

In summer young people visited the forest. Two of them escaped from the rest of the group. They were madly in love. Their hearts were in sync. Beautiful beats. Divine love. Their hands touched each other. Bodies close. By coincidence they were sitting under the redwood tree. The invisible man was awakened. The window moved. Every word spoken by the couple went directly into the ears of the man. He felt how his wooden legs started to shake. Tender love vibes in the air. Sweet kisses exchanged. Losing control. Inside the tree. A miracle took place.

The couple left the redwood tree. They spent the night with the rest of the group. The redwood tree was still active. The other trees witnessed the continued awakening. The curse was broken. Only true love could make the difference. The couple delivered the key. The invisible man opened his wooden eyes. His throat felt dry. With his wooden hands he made the hole bigger. He felt the need to escape. The redwood tree accepted his need to be free. All natural things take time and the time was right to move forward.

Another redwood tree moved in the same direction. About a meter further away. A woman slept seven years. She felt so sad that she was not able to tell her big love that she loved him from the bottom of her heart. Her family put her under tremendous pressure. She had no choice. She could not show him what he truly meant to her. With every tear leaving her body, she turned more and more into a redwood tree. Nobody missed her. She lived inside the redwood tree. Via a hole in the tree her soul could escape. Now and then. When she was in the mood to do so.

When she saw the young couple, madly in love, she felt how her wooden body started to move again. Her wooden heart noticed the two hearts in sync. Instantly it feeded her will to live again. She opened her wooden eyes and started to dig a bigger hole in the redwood tree. Singing a song. She was in a wonderful mood. The light came in. The sun was shining. She heard the birds and saw the bees. Suddenly she could observe how the redwood tree a bit further away was changing too. A huge transformation.

The redwood trees could touch each other. They had more work to do. They were getting ready. A magic event took place. The holes let more and more light in. Wooden eyes staring to other wooden eyes. Windows of the soul. Then, time stood still. He recognized her eyes. She remembered his eyes. More light and sun. They felt each other's warmth. The whole forest was celebrating this moment. He said to her that he felt so sorry. For giving up on her love. She forgave him. She asked him forgiveness because she was not brave enough to beat the pressure long ago. He opened his whole heart to her.

Since that precious moment, the lesson was clear. True love never dies. Connected hearts always find their way back home. Curses and spells are dark pages caused by sad events. In the end, the good vibes always conquer. Nature takes its time to heal deep from within. The souls of the redwood trees never left each other again. Deeply in love. Hands on their hearts. Lips sealed. When people visit the forest, they still see magic hearts in the redwood trees. They say that when a couple touches with their fingers the hearts, they will forever stay together. Madly in love.
