Job Details & Key Objectives

We are looking for an experienced Testing Architect who is passionate in designing architecture for testing components in the supply chain, quality and/or transport scope (= ScaleUp program).

These components will be rolled on a large industrial perimeter and have to fit in the complete ScaleUp suite.

The Testing Architect has to perform all phases of architectural work including planning, designing and overseeing the construction. He will be involved in new building designs (5-10%), extensions, alterations and conservations from the earliest stages through completion.

The Testing Architect will also be part of the Agile Product teams and will, in this role, be in close contact with the testing team.

The Testing Architect will work closely with different Product Owner, key Business users, Product Architect and development teams. The architect is responsible that the product fits and accords to the global ScaleUp program. He will also make sure that the correct priorities are set within the teams.

Responsibilities

Control project from start (initial idea) to finish (roll out and after care, further evolutions) to ensure high quality, innovative and functional design.
Take part of the Agile team.
Work in close corporation with the business (Product owner, Business key user).
Work in close cooperation with the Integration Architect, Product Architects and Development Teams.
Assemble client needs/requirements and translate these requirements in an architecture (business & technical).
Keep testing product within budget and timeline.
Ensure that architecture and coding is carried out to general and ScaleUp standards and guidelines.
Steer the testing team in the testing and plan the next releases together with the product owners and product architects.
SPOC from ScaleUp Core side for the 'Testing Delivery Plan'.
Communication to all stakeholders (both IT and business).

Tasks

Project management for the testing
Daily followup with the different stakeholders
Challenge the teams, build trust and deliver software of the right quality
Assist different stakeholders (where needed) to build requirements and to explain testing architecture.
Report to lead architect
Take up role in the Agile product team.
Assure that test plans (unit test, system test, integration system tests, performance tests, acceptance tests,) are well designed and are aligned with business.
Assure that product is aligned with general and ScaleUp security guidelines.

Requirements:

Experience in IT transversal project management is a hard requirement
Understanding of Project Management methodologies
Proven working experience as an IT testing architect (business and technical).
Understanding of modern Architectures.
Experience in agile development methodology.
Creativity in finding / exploring solutions
Experience in a multicultural environment
Efficient communication skills towards different stakeholders.
Knowledge of test methodology
Knowledge of current security guidelines is a plus.
Knowledge in steel industry / supply chain is a big plus.
Knowledge in business process modeling and BPMN diagrams
Willingness to travel (limited frequency: mainly on site but dependent of the project phase)
Language skills: English (excellent level or native, official language of the project), Dutch
French, Spanish, German is a plus.
