We are looking for:


  • An individual who provides strong technical expertise and value to our customers by leveraging our product portfolio, innovation leadership, sustainability actions, and knowhow of the GBU.
  • A technical expert able to balance technical needs of the customer and value creation with the ability to work with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • A good listener who can adapt solutions to the needs of the customer and the Silica Global Business Unit and has the impact and influence to achieve results.

We count on you for:


  • Act as the primary technical contact for Silica GBU Tire Global Key Accounts.
  • Provide technical support to customers in product implementation and with process adaptation problems related to Solvay products.
  • Provide technical guidance to the organization and to steer Technical Marketing Managers to achieve new innovation growth with customers.
  • Lead product homologation validation internally and with customers.
  • Coordinate the technical marketing activity at Tire Global Key Accounts and set priority on innovation projects with Global Key Account Manager.
  • Manage interactions with R&I for Innovation/ Customer Services
  • Proactively communicate market technical insights (market needs, trends, competition, risks) within the GBU.
  • Propose new project/innovation ideas to the GBU Innovation Governance
  • Grow and deliver new Tire Business Opportunities with a focus on Innovation
  • Maintain relations with key customers and peers in marketing and strategy related fields.
  • Problem resolution and support to customers for complex issues and claim resolution support.
  • Accountable for Technical marketing documentation content.

You will bring:


  • Graduatelevel degree in Chemistry or Material Science with a deep technical understanding of Tire / Rubber Industries
  • At least 5 years of progressively increasing responsibilities with Technical Support in the Tire / Rubber Industries / Research & Development fields.
  • Several years of team leadership experience.
  • Experience in R&D and production of plastics, polymers, synthetic rubber, and/or chemicals. Experience with functionalized elastomers is a plus.
  • Experience with Tire manufacturing or raw material supply to Tire manufactures is highly desired.
  • English fluency is mandatory.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills with experience in customer facing positions,
  • Precipitated silica process understanding is a plus.
