IT Manager - Global Medical Affairs BT - TPM Promotional Content Management


Introduction:


Global Medical Affairs BT (GMABT), the Global Product Group for Scientific & Medical Affairs, is responsible for JNJ Innovative Medicine Commercial Medical Affairs' technology direction.

Individuals in this group act as point of contact for other technology funcitons and MAF business leaders to identify and prioritize technology solutions to drive business impact and lead the consistent implementation of these solutions across the business.

They will exhibit strong influence and passion for driving the organization towards consistent technology solutions aligned to overall JJIMT strategy.


The Medical Affairs product group and its business partner CDS Content Excellence group are responsible for promotional content management (creation, review, approval and dissemination) process.

Striving for excellence in this area aligned within the strategic transformation program ONE CAMPAIGN. GMABT owns the global iMedical Review solution and linked content management technologies.

We are seeking an IT Manager to act as Technical Product Manager for the Promotional Content Management product.

This role has accountability for the technology strategy, reliability, implementation, and continued improvements of this product, including promotional material review through iMedical Review (iMR) platform (Veeva Vault PromoMats) and related technologies for content authoring and content tagging.

This role is part of a global team, but with focus on EMEA business needs. The iMR platform is globally used and regional implementation is handled by this role in the EMEA region.


The platform is run by the US-based GMABT team, while you will focus on its implementation and tailoring for the EMEA business, feeding EMEA needs into the global backlog.

The TPM owns vision and prioritization of new technical features and improvements to the product to meet business needs. Accountable for technical delivery and value realization in close partnership with the business product manager and technology services.


The TPM will be:


  • A Product Leader with the ability to translate vision to strategy to roadmap.
  • Balancing business value with technical feasibility while prioritizing features
  • Finding the right level of discovery and delivery.
  • Anticipating future needs and proactively improves product features.
  • Responsible for backlog refinement and risk management
  • Defining standards for the product: overall design, development standards, release management, testing & validation, compliance and master data structure.
  • Responsible for selection of product solutions options
  • Ensuring products meet service level expectations.
  • Tracks progress of product development and deployment. Reports back to the business on status on the delivery of key achievements across the program; has a combination of global and regional accountability. Ensures high level of predictability in the delivery of solutions. Works with Technology Services to continually improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the portfolio of solutions.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Develops and articulates the vision, strategy, roadmap, and business value for the Promotional Content Management product regionally and influence the same globally, in collaboration with global and other regional product owners.
  • Prioritizes and aligns backlog of features with business, IT partners and development teams.
  • Strategically assessing, developing and driving best practice process methodologies and information technology for both products
  • Handle budget for the Promotional Content Management product.
  • Develop and deliver future capability offerings and new technologies to drive business value.
  • Accountable for product life cycle management including total cost of ownership optimization of our products.
  • Partner with Business Product Owner(s), leaders of other product groups and JJTS for integrations, joint architecture
  • Help business in training, communications and driving adoption.
  • Establish a single point of contact for local business partners to adequately address local demand in Promotional Content Management domain.
  • Ensure that J&J information assets are appropriately identified and are protected by staying in sync with and enforcing all local and worldwide security policies.
  • Drive team resources to conduct requirements analysis and definition for new demands. Partner with capability and shared service teams to conduct solutions assessments to identify efficient solutions.
  • Lead team resources (internal/external analysts) to focus on right priorities aligned with product strategy, identify resourcing needs, recruit where needed.
  • Continuously learn via research, technology vendors, IT Architecture, and tech. events to get ahead of the curve and proactively being new relevant capabilities to the product group.
