MANAGER INNOVATIVE PARTNERSHIP - BUSINESS TO GOVERNMENT

Within this context and in order to reinforce our Innovative Partnership team, we are looking for a People Manager, expert in public affairs.


Your mission

As Manager Innovative Partnership, you will:

  • manage a delivery team in the division Business to Government
  • in charge of specific customers : the public institutions
- fully understand the business model, the specific needs for bpost related products and solutions and the requirements of the public customers and hence create new value to customers
- develop sustainable competitive advantage for bpost in the public sector
- integrate strategic bpost C.S.R. principles in the long term vision for the public sector
- become the recognized unit of expertise within bpost for the public sector aligning the public sector specific growth needs with the services, solutions and products offered by bpost
- follows up the creation of the offers/tenders
- follows the creation, design and implementation of new solutions and reports the progress to the Senior Management.


About the job
Which are the main tasks ?

1.
People Management

Lead a team of project managers/designers who run Solutions (scanning, digital inclusion, etc) and develop new solutions based on customers needs.

2.
Develop new ideas and concepts
Analyze the business processes of the public sector.

Based on this analysis you create innovative ideas and businesses processes that bring a total solution for a specific problem or a specific process for our clients, built around bpost capabilities.

This requires in-depth know-how of the business models and processes of our customers, industry credibility and the ability to convince our customers of our findings.

This is based on a lead from the Sales, but also based on the analysis of specific market segments and their respective business processes, based on problems that some clients face and in some way relate to BU and other products.


You have to be able to:

  • start from scratch, realize conceptual Research and Development on sub-industry specific trends, needs, requirements
- combine different products, services and solutions into a new concept/solution. Solution complexity is high
- develop the high level concept, and verify it with the potential stakeholders, based on innovative ideas (customers, segments, associations and other parties involved in the process)
- define the concept to make sure it brings a total solution to a problem or a process of one or more clients
- develop value based pricing for his sub-industry specific solutions
- develop concepts further and customize/extend them, based on feedback, as well as determining action plans and strategies relative to the different stakeholders
- establish pilots in the concept design stage
- launch new concepts and assist with the writing of offers to customers, possibly in cooperation with the Sales, Solutions and Bid Management teams.

3.

Evaluation of the operational and financial feasibility of the solution
Align the solution with the factories, operations, branches and other departments of bpost (case by case).

Search for new factories of potential partners, if necessary, in order to put the concept into the market. Negotiate with partners on pricing, strategy.


Prepare a business case which evaluates the financial feasibility of the concept review and also gives a clear view of the revenue generation and EBIT contribution.

It goes without saying that as a Manager Innovation, you have strong interpersonal skills.

Experience required for the position:

  • Experience in managing experienced profiles
  • 10 years in sales, marketing design and general management functions. Preferably in a variety of roles over the years
  • Experience in B2B sales or marketing
  • Strategy/concept experience

Language skills:
ability to lead teams in Dutch AND French. English is an asset for certain client panels. Written presentations to do in both languages (NL/FR) and in English.

Technical knowledge required to perform the role:

  • Good Sales or Marketing knowledge
  • Negotiation and presentation skills
  • Good knowledge of functional aspects : IT systems (nontechnical), legal & regulatory background, finance (business cases), process design, MS Office
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
