The Belgian branch, located in the center of Brussels, is actually looking for a thorough
Underwriter Officer (M/F/x) to, on the one hand, determine potential client's risk factors and to establish the terms of coverage and, on the other hand, in collaboration & coordination with the Performance & Cost Controller perform monitoring of the technical performance.

As ARAG SE - Branch Belgium is implementing a state of the art Insurance Core System (SFI from Sales Force), the Underwriter will have the possibility to establish best practices with no constraints from legacies

Function / Responsabilities:

Proactively search for relevant information from many sources (Brokers, Customers, internal Sales and Cost Control colleagues)
Collect and assess clients background information, financial status, and other relevant details.
Retrieve and prepare usual UW reports : claims statistics, broker performance cards, portfolio sanitation review....
Prepare quotations, maintaining files, ensure efficient storage of each analysis
Is able to interpret data and complex pricing structures to facilitate Customer Service manual followup.
The UW & TP Officer reports to the UW & TP Manager and ensure efficient back up (team of 2 persons).

Your profile:

Bachelor or master degree in various domains are considered : economics, statistics, insurance,
Excellent analytical skill
Financial literacy : at ease with financial statements, credit scores, statistics and ratios
Tools proficiency (data analysis, excel macros, pivot table, powerBi,...)
Eager to continuously improve knowledge of the market dynamics
Negociation and communication skills for explaining decisions to Brokers or Customers
Proactive profile to propose solutions and recommendations
Motivated personality and positive mindset
Good knowledge of FR-NLEN
