Your function


Elia Grid International (EGI) is seeking a dynamic and collaborative
Operations Lead to become a central figure in our team.

As a key subsidiary of Elia Group, EGI stands at the forefront of the energy sector, delivering a wide range of consulting and engineering solutions to a global clientele.


This role is designed for an individual who thrives in a collaborative environment, with a hands-on approach to leading operations, driving growth, and ensuring the success of our mission.

Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering client engagement, innovation, operational excellence, and a culture of high performance.


Responsibilities

  • Craft and execute operational strategies that resonate with EGI's mission and business objectives, ensuring they're integrated into our daytoday operations.
  • Lead project delivery, solution and service development, and strategic resource allocation with a keen eye on enhancing.
  • Ensure smooth operations by tracking measurable key metrics, monitoring performance and implementing actions wherever appropriate to ensure the teams are meeting EGI business objectives and exceeding customer expectations
  • Demonstrate expertise and savvy in key domain areas including power system planning, operations, energy markets, and digitalization. This knowledge will be crucial in driving EGI's strategic initiatives and ensuring our technological and operational leadership in the energy sector.
  • Engage in daily coordination with finance, corporate, and commercial departments to ensure a unified approach to achieving business objectives, emphasizing transparency and teamwork.
  • Collaborate closely with solution domain teams to coordinate technical solutions, ensuring these solutions are driven by expert insights and align with EGI's strategic goals.
  • Cultivate enduring relationships with key partners, clients, and stakeholders, ensuring EGI's values of collaboration and excellence are always front and centre.
  • Champion a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging creative solutions and process enhancements across the board.
  • Partner with the different teams and take steps towards the development and retention of talent, including identifying development areas for the team and ensuring appropriate development avenues (mentoring, coaching, formal learning,).
  • Work closely with EGI's leadership to identify growth opportunities, expand into new markets, and solidify our position as industry leaders.
  • Ensure EGI's adherence to legal, regulatory standards, and best practices, safeguarding our reputation and operational integrity.
  • Lead by example in managing risks and upholding the utmost standards of safety and security for our team and assets.

Desired Qualifications:


  • Proven experience of 10+ years in a leadership role within the energy sector or a consultancy environment, with a focus on tackling complex power system challenges.
  • Demonstrated expertise in navigating the intricacies of the energy transmission sector, equipped with a strategic vision for addressing its unique challenges and leveraging opportunities.
  • Robust financial and business acumen, proven through successful budget and performance management.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering strong relationships with a diverse set of clients, partners, and team members.
  • A forwardthinking and innovative problem solver, committed to continuous improvement and steering EGI towards ground breaking solutions.
  • A proven mentor and leader capable of guiding a diverse team across various locations, promoting unity and excellence.
  • A demonstrated record of servant leadership prioritizing the growth, wellbeing and empowerment of people
  • An ability to thrive in a fastpaced, dynamic environment and energize teams through periods of change and growth.
  • Experience in global operations, with an insightful understanding of cultural nuances and international business strategies.
  • Proficiency in English is a must; additional language skills are highly valued.
