Description
Assist the Compliance Officer for the Belgian entity and its branches:

Elaborate compliance reports that commit the company to the regulators, the auditors, the Group.
Carry out various legal analysis relating to the applicable regulations
Conduct compliance risk analysis.
Adapt on a regular basis the company's organization and operating methods to its legal and compliance framework.
Inform the company management of any incident of noncompliance.
Follow up on these actions and maintain a record of the incidents thus detected.
Monitor developments in the field closely to maintain the level of knowledge and keep abreast of changes in rules and legislation.
Ensure relations with insurance regulators
Ensure that the Group's compliance principles and standards are communicated and adapted
Take the necessary training and information actions of the staff.
Contribute to the completion of operational control questionnaires and surveys.
Ensure, in liaison with Central Legal and Central Compliance, a regulatory watch

Profile

Minimum of 35 years working within the Compliance, Audit or Risk team or a regulated insurance company or group.
Master degree in Finance/Law
Understanding and experience of insurance regulatory framework.
Ability to travel to the business operation to oversee effectiveness of local compliance programs.
Strong understanding of Insurance products and distribution models.
Ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) in English, French or Dutch
Ability to meet or exceed deadline, prioritise, multitask and maintain flexibility in a fast paced changing environment.
Commercial acumen and ability to influence with persuasive skills and a high level of personal integrity
Critical thinking and good analytical skills Strong decision making skills is a core requirement.
