For our production entity in Verrebroek, we are looking for a Technical Buyer.

Job description:

As a Technical Buyer, you purchase materials all over Europe in function of the assembly of our state-of-the-art cabin fiber optic network plants.

Maintaining existing relationships will certainly be part of your duties. Our Technical Purchasers are also responsible for product and/or brand development and are given the freedom to decide independently.

Together with the commercial team, you look for solutions to help our customers.

You report to the Operations manager and to the VP Procurement in dotted line
You coordinate with the production planning that determines what our needs for materials are, and therefore with the stock management of raw materials (supply chain)
You gain insight into the product range and the market in order to develop a good supplier portfolio
Sourcing to tap all possible alternative markets/suppliers
You are the contact for our suppliers
You are responsible for managing and keeping the technical documentation and purchase prices uptodate

Profile:

You have a technical bachelor's degree or a master's degree in industrial sciences
You are a school leaver or you have a first relevant experience in your pocket
You speak and write Dutch, French and English. Knowledge of German is a plus
You are prepared to make occasional trips abroad
You are decisive, serviceminded and have the necessary commercial insight
You are punctual and structured
You are a real problem solver
You are communicative and a team player
You are eager to learn and want to keep abreast of novelties that come on the market
You have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office
Knowledge or experience with SAP business one is a plus
