Logistics at full potential

As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day operations of the large multi customer based site.

Managing a team of warehouse associates and implementing warehouse actions plans, supporting the Site Manager in delivery and continual improvements.

In this role, you will be leading a team of 8 direct team leaders, and around 200 indirect employees in the warehouse.

You will report directly to the Site manager.

What does your day look like as an Operations Manager?

Ensuring optimal operational progress and performance regarding KPIs in accordance with the Service Level Agreement with the customer.
Managing, coaching, assessing, and developing employees.
Ensuring optimal quantitative and qualitative staffing.
Monitoring and managing the realisation of the established KPIs and ratios.
Process and strategy improvement proposals and working with site manager to implement them.
Designing and implementing lean methodologies within production or logistics.
Focus on LEAN techniques quality management processes, cost control Methodologies, achieving company goals and profit levels.

What do you need to be successful?

Bachelor degree in a relevant area with accompanying high level analytical skills.
Experienced in managing a large warehouse operation.
Broad experience of working within a logistics, warehouse, food production environment or similar.
Strong communication and leadership skills required.
Experience in dealing with workforce agencies including Unions, high amount of temp Labor vs fixed. Significant upscaling and downscaling according to volumes seasonality.
Reporting skills, excel, power BI knowledge and experience with monitoring, setting up KPI/SLA metrics results orientated.
Resilient and able to thrive in a challenging environment.
Abilit to monitor and uphold quality of service to clients.
Excellent written and verbal English, Dutch and French is required.
