Context

Degroof Petercam is looking for an experienced Institutional Equity Sales, specialized in small and mid-caps, to cover the French market.

We have a strong presence amongst French institutional investors and are looking to replace our Senior Equity Sales on France who is retiring.

The role is based in Brussels and reports into the Head of Equity Sales.

Your Position

Take over existing French client base in a seamless way in tandem with the current senior expert sales.
Establish and cultivate relationships with a wide range of leading French institutional investors. Nurture, develop and improve the customer relationships. Client intimacy is key.
Be the goto sales for French investors investing in Benelux stocks and French small and mid cap stocks. Master the investment cases and actively engage with portfolio managers and buyside analysts.
Help find liquidity and develop our trading revenues.
Develop placement capabilities for Equity Capital Markets transactions.
Manage company and analyst marketing, meetings, conference calls, and industry events with clients in a demanding, entrepreneurial, and dynamic team environment.
Open new accounts and meaningfully drive revenue with existing accounts higher.

Your Profile

At least 5 years of experience in the French investor community in small and midcaps, in either institutional equity sales, equity research or portfolio management.
Strong knowledge and wellintegrated in the French institutional investment community.
Thorough understanding of equity/capital markets.
Proven ability to develop, nurture and monetize "trusted advisor" client relationships.
Excellent communication, presentation, analytical and organizational skills with acute attention to detail; Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Strong business development skills and ability to work independently.
A real team player and agile.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Bloomberg.
Ability/willingness to travel.
Fluent in French and English.
