We are looking for a
Medical Strategy Lead Dermatology for the
ABN region (Alps, Benelux & Nordics) who has a passion for creating impact for patients, to come and join our fantastic
ABN Medical Affairs Team - the role can be based in
either Netherlands, Belgium or Switzerland.



About the role


You are as the Medical Strategy Lead Dermatology a senior strategic medical lead positioned to drive excellence in medical planning, and end-to-end accountability for successful and impactful medical initiatives in Dermatology.

In your role you will partner closely with Commercial, Access, and Evidence Generation Managers at local and regional level to develop a highly impactful Medical Affairs plan per ABN country aimed at differentiating and accelerating UCB's medical capabilities and operational excellence in dermatology.

Furthermore, you are accountable for setting the overall medical strategy for the Therapeutic Area at the country level.

This will be demonstrated by providing medical input into the cross-functional strategy, by translating science into value for patients and business; and providing medical guidance and strategic direction to the Medical Team.


The purpose is that you create and foster an environment that enables the successful execution of the local medical plan and together with the Field Medical Manager ensure optimal implementation in the field with clear measures of impact and outcomes.


Who you will work with:


In this position, you'll will work closely with regional and global medical teams, fostering diverse perspectives to collectively uphold a high standard of scientific knowledge.

Supporting external stakeholders to drive patient value and ensuring compliance with the UCB standards and local regulations (regulatory, pharma codes, etc.) for all medical affairs deliverables in the Therapeutic Area team, directly and in collaboration with the Country Medical Manager.

You will report directly into the Head of Medical Immunology ABN.


What you will do:


  • Endtoend accountability for streamlined strategic medical plans and demonstrated vision of how key medical initiatives will be implemented in the field with a clear measure of impact
  • Partner closely with the local EG lead to identify key partnership and RWE opportunities aligned with ABN's evidence generation priorities
  • Foster medical leadership aimed at enhancing the value of medical affairs with a focus on demonstrated impact
  • Medical strategy development for the Therapeutic Area and medical input into strategic plans and patient value brand plans (PVBP)
  • You are involved with the preparation of upcoming launches in Dermatology
  • Drives scientific engagement with selected relevant key external stakeholders

Interested?
For this position you'll need the following
education, experience
and skills**:

  • Master or PhD in Life Sciences, Pharma etc.
  • Medical Affairs experience within the pharmaceutical industry, in the respective therapeutic areas or similar experience which enables you to create medical/clinical development strategies
  • Strong understanding of clinical development and study management, as well as real world evidence generation plans and practices
  • Successful in crossbusiness/crossfunctional planning, collaborating and solution building
  • Solid peer relationships with and exposure to external scientific/ clinical experts, professional & regulatory bodies, pharma associations; demonstrated ability to proactively engage internal and external leaders and serve as a medical expert
  • Have driven governance activities and their pragmatic implementation
