With the Operational Data Acquisition Support Services Director for GSK Global Clinical Operations (GCO), we offer the opportunity of an impactful and highly visible leadership role whose purpose it is to develop, deliver, and support a fit-for-purpose, validated and inspection ready clinical system landscape for GCO that leads to timely and high-quality conduct and management of clinical studies.


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:


  • This position is responsible for an integrated Business System Ownership (BSO) and Support service that ensures, from the business side, a fitforpurpose, validated and inspection ready clinical system landscape to facilitate timely and highquality conduct and management of clinical studies.
The principal system is Veeva Clinical Operations Vault (COV:
CTMS, TMF, SSU, SRD) along with other systems that enable Global Clinical Operations (GCO).

This also includes the provision of a global proactive, standardized, efficient, and integrated end user system support model for the systems in scope that supports all roles and all areas of GSK, and that ensures all issues are resolved in a timely manner.


  • The Operational Data Acquisition Support Services Director balances operational excellence and technical innovation with quality and compliance. The role coordinates implementation of changes and improvements across all components of the assigned systems by leading and managing the associated Business System Owners and business system support team and by close collaboration with tech representatives, especially Tech Product Owners.
  • The Operational Data Acquisition Support Services Director plays a key role as a member of the Integrated System Support Leadership Team and is responsible for ensuring that their group supports the Integrated Systems Support (ISS), Quality Capability and Risk Management (QCRM), and Global Clinical Operations (GCO) organizations in their mission to continuously develop to meet evolving business and customer needs. They are responsible for the development and delivery of system support practices that optimize enduser productivity, efficiency, quality, and flexibility in support of GCO business deliverables.
  • The role includes a mix of direct, matrixed, and 3rd party contract resources to manage.
  • Individuals with this role will influence on a global level, typically leading global teams based in multiple countries.
  • The Operational Data Acquisition Support Services group contributes to the Integrated Systems Support organization's delivery of a customerfocused support model. This requires the development and maintenance of strong collaborative partnerships with QCRM, GCO, CSQA, IT QRC and GSK Tech. The role requires engagement with the relevant GSK Stakeholders and decisionmaking governance committees.
  • Partner with GSK Tech, Third-Party Vendors and Clinical Platform Excellence Lead to actively participate in Clinical Operations Agile Product Increment planning for the delivery of systems roadmap, managing the system innovation and continuous improvement. Ensure the assigned computerized systems are appropriately validated and documented, understood, and managed throughout their life and usage within GCO.
