What is the project about?

The Product Manager understands the (current & future) customer's needs and (re-)designs products, services and/or customer value propositions (CVPs) (incl.

benefits & features) to answer these needs.

He or she analyzes changing customer needs or changing markets and evolves existing products, CVPs & services based on changing needs & market conditions.

For BASE we are currently looking for a Product Manager focusing on the Mobile market

Responsibilities:

Determines the customer value proposition, benefits & features of mobile products and services that will answer customer's needs. These designs take into account future opportunities, changing markets and/or improvement possibilities for what exists. Enables the optimal customer experience throughout the customer journey.
Makes sure the products/specs/pricing mobile portfolio remains relevant for consumers in changing competitive & market situations, including regulatory needs
Codevelops framework for product management and roadmaps. Ensures that Base design principles and consistency across solutions (products/services/CVPs) are applied.
Ensures that proposed solutions are profitable by owning or contributing to business cases or budget and making recommendations in terms of feasibility and customer dynamics. Monitors and/or follows up on the solution performance.
Stays abreast of the market developments and trends as well as related technological innovations and brings best practices forward.
Translates the features and benefits of products, services & customer value propositions into business requirements and ensures technical or operational delivery of the proposed solution.

Requirements:

Knowledge of the Telco/ Mobile market
Affinity with the Francophone market of Belgium
Has excellent stakeholder management: understands business and technical processes, builds a (internal) network; lobbies to influence these processes.
Knows product life cycle management: product performance management, product maintenance & prioritization.
Has broad business & financial acumen: business & product strategy, business casing, Profit & Loss (P&L), budget and Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) management
Understands market orientation process: market dynamics & competitive landscape, technology and market trends & knowledge and product (area) knowledge, with an ability to frame opportunities from this underlying context.
Has experience in project management and understands dependencies and impact from a matrixtype internal structure.
