Our curriculum is British based and uniquely adapted to the needs of our international and diverse student body. There is an Early Childhood Centre for children aged 1-3. Our Primary School offers a bespoke enquiry-based curriculum. Students in Year 10 & 11 study for (I)

GCSE and BTEC courses. Post-16 students can choose from three internationally recognised pre-university examination courses:
English A Levels, International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or BTEC. Our Enrichment programme is exceptional, offering over 100 activities per week.

The Role:

The Enrichment Department (responsible for organising extra-curricular activities) is currently looking for full-time and part-time Swimming coaches for the year round (September - June) BSB Swimming programme across our competitive teams, learn-to-swim programme, and recreational sessions.

Training sessions are held on weekdays before and after school.

There are competition commitments on weekends, with our teams participating in a variety of local competitions (September-June) and International tournaments in Term 2 (November-March).

Duties & Responsibilities:

To act in accordance with school policy and procedures in relation to child protection and safeguarding
Act as a role model, demonstrate the highest standards of sportsmanship and develop attitudes in team members which foster respect for opponents, respect for officials and mutual respect
Take responsibility for ensuring that the equipment is correct and is kept in good working order
Be available for all home and away competitions
Attend all coaches meetings as communicated by the Head of Aquatics
Make participants aware of their progress
Attend the season ending tournament(s) and Sports Awards Evening
Plan and deliver coaching sessions appropriate to the ability of participants
Take direct responsibility for the conduct of one's own team(s) / group(s) and have a shared responsibility with coaching colleagues for the members of other BSB teams throughout the season
Monitor the distribution and collection of swim kit at each competition and throughout the season
Additionally, some competitions take place in other European countries so a willingness to travel is required

Qualifications / experience

Coaching swimming level 2 qualification (or equivalent)
Provide an up to date First Aid Certificate or be willing to attend an approved course provided by the school

Desirable:

Knowledge of Zwemfed
Experience with HyTek Team Manager
Ability to speak French and or Dutch would be an advantage
Ability to drive/own transport for local competitions

Skills

We are particularly looking for coaches who are flexible, reliable, possess good communication skills in English and enjoy working with children.

Band 3 representing a minimum of € 3.136,02 and maximum € 4.901,37 gross per month for a fulltime role (prorated for parttime roles) depending on the years of relevant experience
