Job description:

We are seeking a dedicated HSE Manager to join our team at the Manage site in Belgium.

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager and serving on the site's management committee, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of health, safety, and environmental management.


Requirements:


  • Act as an advisor on matters of safety, health, environmental management, and risk assessment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations within the overall industrial management plan of the factory and its projects.
  • Recommend necessary measures to address identified or reported hazards or nuisances.
  • Raise awareness among staff regarding prevention and workplace protection through communication channels established by management.
  • Analyze accidents and incidents, suggesting corrective actions.
  • Conduct risk assessments for tasks and workstations, proposing actions to mitigate risks.
  • Keep abreast of legislative changes and inform staff about new preventive measures.
  • Manage environmental compliance and monitor environmental indicators.
  • Oversee waste sorting, recycling actions, and necessary measures.
  • Coordinate activities with the Workers' Prevention and Protection Committee (CPPT), presenting safety procedures required by law.
  • Propose annual action plans for safety and environmental initiatives to the CPPT.
  • Coordinate safety actions with occupational health services, including medical examinations and risk analyses.
  • Coordinate and participate in safety and environmental audits.
  • Ensure compliance with labor legislation, internal regulations, and safety rules.
  • Fulfill legal requirements related to workplace wellbeing and internal prevention and protection services.
  • Participate in or lead continuous improvement projects in collaboration with production and management teams.

Ideal Profile:


  • Certified Prevention Advisor level 1 or level
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Safety within an industrial site.
  • Knowledge of ISO 1400
  • Experience or equivalent training in environmental management.
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis tools and action plan management.
  • Experience in direct interaction with both bluecollar and managerial personnel.
  • Solutionoriented mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel).
  • Technical English proficiency (B2) is an advantage.
  • Selfdriven with excellent communication skills for interaction with all levels of staff.
