We are looking for a Health & Safety Manager to join our team in Belgium.

Main tasks:

Responsible for the prevention policy and safety culture at Yusen Logistics Belgium;
Implement a welfare policy and monitor the health and safety of employees;
Responsible for the implementation and enforcement of the safety and environmental procedures, instructions and preventive regulations within the different sites in Belgium (North and South);
Your role is not only advisory, but looking for and implementing solutions together with our stakeholders;
Performing systematic risk analyses of the working environment and translate these into preventive measures and (corrective) actions;
Responsible for the training policy within Yusen Logistics regarding employee safety awareness;
Representation of QHSES in project teams;
Head of the crisis team in case of calamities;
Develop and maintain relationships with internal & external stakeholders.

Who are we looking for:

You have a bachelors' or master's degree and a eager to obtain a "Prevention Advisor Level 1" certificate;
You can demonstrate your senior and wide experience in Health & Safety management and leading a team of specialists;
Project management qualification or relevant experience preferred;
Demonstrates openness to new ideas; comes up with useful ideas to improve the way we do things;
People manager who continuously coaches and mentors people;
A problemsolving mindset and a strong sense of selfinitiative in order to improve the working culture and deliver the projects with a high quality standard;
A "roll up your sleeves" type who communicates easily;
Develops relationships with stakeholders (external and internal), demonstrates good listening and negotiation skills;
Excellent verbal and written proficiency in Dutch, French and English (or willing to develop);
Knowledge or experience with ISO45001 is a strong advantage;
Willingness to travel between different sites.
