This multi-disciplinary and multilingual team leads and coordinates the efforts of EY worldwide on EU tender opportunities and identifies best practices, know-how and expertise to suit the needs of our global clients.

We are looking for someone to join the EU dedicated team as
Junior Bid Manager, EU Institutions.

The position is a
full-time employment based in Diegem (Brussels area) and interacts with the network of colleagues across EY offices worldwide who cooperate closely with the team.


The role


The Junior Bid Manager will work with cross-country and cross-service proposal teams to help respond to large European public calls for tender for a multiple range of services involving different EY offices around the world.

He/she will manage the entire proposal development process to ensure on-time delivery of compliant and compelling proposals and will manage the submission of the final offer to the European Institutions.


Responsibilities

  • Act as the central point of contact on assigned proposals, lead the bidding process and support the work of the technical proposal (writing) teams; When needed, analyze the tender terms of reference to create proposal outlines and bid plan;
  • Set internal deadlines and follow up on progress in a proactive manner;
  • Act as EU procurement specialist in terms of the formal requirements, quality and compliance expectations of the EU Institutions regarding calls for tender;
  • Liaise with the technical proposal team, give guidance and interpretation of the tender requirements and perform final reviews;
  • When needed, research and gather information to include corporate information, service information and other standard proposal material;
  • Guide or carry out the preparation of the selection criteria related to technical and professional capacity (collection and qualification of relevant project references and CVs);
  • Consolidate the required administrative and legal documents for the tender and other general administrative tasks (facilitate contract followup, draft presentations, editing, layout);
  • Support the identification and mobilization of internal and external experts;
  • Communicate, as needed, with the client regarding requests for clarification or contractual aspects and with external consortium partners for the preparation of the proposal;
  • Ensure compliance with internal EY procedures and standards and with requirements set by the client in the Term of Reference; liaise with legal department for the drafting of legal agreements;

Qualifications required

  • Economic, business, law, communication, EU/political studies or governmentoriented University Degree;
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience related to the coordination/preparation of EU tenders;
  • Ability to work across the organization with proactiveness, effective communication and project management skills;
  • Strong attention to detail, capable to navigate with ease through multiple tasks and able to work in a deadlineconscious, resultsdriven environment;
  • Team player with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization;
  • Willing to learn, selfdriven and open to work in a multicultural team with a good degree of autonomy;
  • Fluent in English (fluency in French and/or other European official languages will be a strong asset);
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office package;
