    Within our department Compliance with the mission of providing expert guidance and ensuring a sufficient level of monitoring, we are seeking an Outsourcing & Privacy Expert for supporting Athora Belgium and the Head of compliance / DPO covering for different Privacy BAU activities and projects, including analysis of cases requested by the business to render Privacy opinions, treat requests from Group, internal clients or external customers and third parties.

    The team consists of 5 colleagues who are waiting just for you

    Your responsibilities

    As Outsourcing & Privacy Expert, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, reviewing & implementing the necessary systems & documentation to comply with the applicable outsourcing and privacy framework;
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations for the insurance sector;
  • Drafting and executing specific parts of the action and monitoring plans;
  • Contributing to the Compliance Risk Assessment and analysis;
  • Monitoring compliance risks in line with the Plan;
  • Reporting on specific compliance risks (internal & external) and implementation of standards, following internal standards and local regulations;
  • Ensuring that Athora Belgium has adequate policies and procedures, as well as the knowledge in place in areas of expertise.

    • Your profile

  • You have a university degree in Law, Economics, or Management or the equivalent experience.
  • You have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a financial institution (preferably a Life insurance company).
  • You have extended knowledge in data protection.
  • You are fluent and able to work daily in English and you have excellent knowledge of French or Dutch and a good command of the other national language.
  • You are rigorous, organised and can manage your priorities and respect tight deadlines.
  • You are able to work and learn quickly and at a sustained rhythm in a dynamic environment.
  • You have an analytical mind and are solutions and results oriented.
  • You can communicate with all kinds of interlocutor and are able to present results to senior management effectively and clearly.
  • You are autonomous and quick to take the initiative.
  • You dare to think outside the box and do not hesitate to make suggestions.
  • You are dynamic with an open mind.
