ABOUT THE ROLE
For this role you will act as the business controller for the SU Netherlands and Belux. You are the speaking partner for the entity MD in terms of all financial issues. You will actively participate and be a business partner in the company management, focus groups and month end discussions.

You will play a key role in financial planning:
scheduling expenditures, monthly forecasting and initiating corrective actions.

You will participate in the continuous improvement of functional areas to improve effectiveness and generate efficiencies.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In conjunction with accounting staff to monitor and manage levels of customer credit, payment terms, debt collection and bad and doubtful debt provisioning.
  • To maintain accruals for incentive bonuses and commissions for employees, third party commissions for agents and retroactive/volume rebates for distributors.
  • Assist team leaders and stakeholders with creating financial data / figures that they can use in presentations.
  • Take ownership of the legal activities to be carried out for the Holdings of different countries/entities
  • To be responsible for contract management for the Benelux region including lease & rental contracts, dealer contracts etc.
  • To assist the accounting function as necessary in the maintenance of other accruals, provisions, and prepayments.
  • To control additions to and retirements from fixed assets and providing supporting business cases where necessary and ensure that group policies are followed.
  • In conjunction with accounting staff to ensure the group and IFRS policies are followed in relation to revenue recognition.
  • In conjunction with accounting staff to maintain cost centre master data, ensure that it is structured appropriately for the business and in accordance with group policies and to establish and maintain monthly cost allocations.
  • To operate controls over the levels of costs.
  • To prepare monthly financial analysis and controlling information for the other business managers of the company including on revenue and gross margin together with reports on variances & costs/On capital employed (principally inventory and receivables)/ On other KPIs as appropriate
  • To prepare and update monthly and annual forecasts/budgets.
  • Assist local MD with Sales & EBIT landing updates at the end of each quarter
  • To monitor the local insurance program and the utilisation of Hexagon global insurance program.
  • Generally ensuring adherence with group policies and procedures and assisting in the implementing of authorisation policies.
  • Be the first contact person for all legal actions regarding Leica Geosystems Holdings BV. and requests from different European Leica offices for official papers.
  • Several: Approvals invoices and payments, be the first contact person for legal matters in the Belgian & Netherlands entity, Signing of tenders
  • Be the intermediate for audit accounting companies in cooperation with GBSB (Global Business Service Centre)

QUALIFICATIONS /EXPERIENCE

  • Qualified accountant with 34 PQE
  • Experience as business controller or business analyst. Experience in dealing with complex business & accounting problems in a matrix organization
  • Proven budgeting, financial & managerial accounting, and reporting skills
  • Basic knowledge of IFRS
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills, including capability in providing direction and feedback to internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Efficient in a team environment as well as independently
  • Solid and reflective judgment, with a profound ability to ask the right questions even though they might be tough
  • Show logical decision making and a handson approach in daily tasks
  • Able to plan your work in accordance with corporate deadlines in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong sense of urgency, responsibility, and accountability
  • A solid track record as a value adding leader of a similar sized department
  • Strong management and leadership skills
