Mission:


As part of its growth strategy, Société Générale ambitions to improve its local product offering, and is seeking an experienced Payments & Cash Management (P&CM) Product Manager to join its local team.

The primary objective of the Product Manager is to develop the local P&CM offering and ensure Société Générale is at or above market standards, thus allowing the Group to win P&CM mandates and develop NBI.

The position is based in either in Brussels or Amsterdam with dual country coverage. Travels to Paris and other countries are to be expected.

Tasks and responsibilities:


  • Develop a deep understanding of the local P&CM Market
  • Current and prospective client priorities
  • Market watch: carry out regular market / competition watch on Cash Management scope to share with the local Management & the central marketing teams
  • In tight coordination with the central product marketing teams, develop the P&CM offering
  • Define a comprehensive short and mediumterm country cash management product strategy including Global offering with other local GTB Business Lines when relevant (trade, factoring, cash clearing);
  • Identify and propose local products offer development priorities to serve the Group ambitions, based on both local and global solutions;
  • Participate in global projects to develop new Group solutions and run local products development projects.
  • Support sales efficiency
  • Provide P&CM expertise product support to sales teams when required for specific clients RFPs (both at local and global levels);
  • Promote domestic capabilities of GTB externally, inc. occasional client visits / communication to represent local product expertise and get feedback on SG Offer;
  • Ensure local sales teams have the required level of understanding of P&CM products and organize/deliver relevant trainings when required;
  • Support the central teams to share on local products specificities.
  • Monitor P&CM products usage and reliability
  • Follow key products KPIs;
  • Participate to local / global P&CM crisis resolution efforts when required;
  • Support global initiatives and report to central marketing teams
  • Share market information with local and global experts;
  • Contribute to global assessment of products that may affect local clients: e.g. pilots for new products, satisfaction review;
  • Report monthly on activities to the central marketing team, based on shared goals & agreed performance dashboards.
  • Act as Project Manager for those projects requiring internal developments where PCM must intervene locally

Profile required:


Studies & experience:


  • Hold a relevant bachelor's or master's degree in Finance or similar
  • At least 5 years previous experience with deep endtoend understanding of Payments and Cash Management products along with a welldeveloped professional network in this segment
  • Prior project management experience

Language skills:


  • Fluency in Dutch (mandatory)
  • Strong professional level of English (mandatory)
  • French represents an advantage

Technical, operational & Soft skills:


  • Knowledge of Transaction Banking channels (e.g. SWIFT, SEPA, local clearing)
  • Good understanding of the current and future product needs of Corporate Payments &Cash Management clients
  • Excellent analytical and product management skills
  • High degree of autonomy in daytoday activity
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage and document changes to policies and procedures that arise during the client onboarding process to improve future client experience, bank's operational and local regulatory experience
  • Demonstrated clientcentric mindset and behavior
  • Ability to prioritize work appropriately
  • Ability to work autonomously and use initiative where appropriate
  • Team spirit
