Your position:

BASF is establishing a new Engineering Hub at our Antwerp site. You contribute to BASF's future and sustainability goals by driving exciting large capital projects

  • As a Project Controls Manager, you are responsible for the controlling
- and reporting of Large Capital Projects as well as the tracking of the project status i.e. with respect to cost, quantities, progress, as a decision basis for the management.

  • You support the planning, management and execution of large, complex project or project groups.
  • You define and pursue taskdriven goals within the context of the project execution as well development measures and special tasks, including their definition and the applied methods, to continuously improve your area of expertise.
  • Through active deployment in early project phases, you bring in the strategic aspects regarding project controlling as an integral part of the project execution. You have an open mindset when it comes to establishing the concepts of Project Management Service in the organization und further developing these through appropriate measures.
  • In addition, you lead the teambuilding with respect to project controls as part of the development of a new Large Capital Project Hub.
  • Last but not least, you ensure the compliance with the quality, Safety, Health, Environmental and Information Protection (QSGUI).

Our ideal match:


  • Degree in engineering or economics, or proven experience in cost controls for projects.
  • Several years of professional experience in project controls management.
  • You are fluent in English and Dutch, or you are willing to learn Dutch via an in house training. Working knowledge of German is a plus.
  • Strong communication and functional leadership skills.
  • High customer focusmindset and enthusiasm for innovations.
  • Good networking skills, ideally experience in negotiating.
  • Willingness to travel frequently. Willingness to temporarily relocate based upon the phase of the project is an advantage.
  • Advanced SAP knowledge.
