Our client is an international federation representing the interests of its members towards the EU institutions.

Their human-sized and multinational office (+/- 12 people) is located in the Arts-Loi area and is currently looking to recruit a
Communications & Events Adviser on a permanent contract basis.


PURPOSE OF THE ROLE


As part of a team of 4, you will be provide extensive support in all the matters handled by the department.


JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Communications strategy & narrative development_
  • Development and implementation of the external communication plans in collaboration with the Secretary General
  • Implementation of the branding; maintenance and implementation of a coherent editorial style and tone to strengthen the public image of the organization
  • Increasing the visibility and profile of the organization, and supporting the promotion of key messages towards external stakeholders (e.g. EU institutions, media and journalists, partners and allies)
  • Further development of the online presence; preparation of communication outputs (including newsletters, social media updates, press releases, news articles, and campaigns)
  • Coordination of the production of relevant print and digital materials and communication tools
  • Monitoring the impact of communications actions and campaigns
  • Content creation_
  • Creation of highquality written and visual content for the online communication channels (i.e. website, LinkedIn, X)
  • Reviewing and editing of digital content, papers and reports created by the team and/or partners effectively translating technical content into accessible policy and public messages
  • Preparation of public speaking engagements of the senior staff members
  • Event management_
Support in the planning, organisation, co-ordination, and management of external events, including:

  • Branding
  • Preparation and management of both the internal and external organisational and logístical elements of all external events
  • Management of the budget, including income (from sponsors) and expenses
  • Preparation and management of the sponsorship campaign(s)
  • Launching, preparing and ensuring the promotion and communication of all external events
  • Coordination and publication of all event publications
  • Ensuring the postevent followup, that objectives are met (from an organisational standpoint), the closure of accounts and satisfaction study
  • Press & Media outreach_
  • Identification of opportunities for the promotion of the organisation's work to a wide range of audiences
  • Securing appropriate coverage of the activities by identifying opportunities for media visibility, coordinating responses to media enquiries and soliciting interviews with the team
  • Monitoring, recording and reporting on the media coverage
  • Development and maintenance of a robust network of media contacts

PROFILE

  • University degree, preferably in a relevant field, such as Communications, Marketing, Public Relations
  • Fluent English (C2), knowledge of another EU language is an asset
  • At least 3 years of professional work experience in communications and event management
  • Proven ability to successfully deliver communications strategies and publication plans targeting a range of audiences
  • Proven ability to deliver creative content (publication, design, text, image and video)
  • Proven ability to plan workload, meet tight deadlines, and handle multiple projects
  • Strong understanding of and experience with WordPress, Mailchimp and graphic design tools
  • Experience in forging collaborative working relationships with relevant stakeholders
  • Experience in drafting advocacy and collaborative communications
  • Proficiency with social media platforms (X, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn)
  • Experience in website development, management and update and ability to collaborate with the relevant experts
  • Experience with press relations and media campaigns.
