Your team and your responsibilities:

Team/division description
***TME R&D centre is responsible for planning, development and production support of vehicles aimed at - and locally produced for - the European market.


Within TME R&D, the VPE - Vehicle UX team is responsible for ensuring a good overall UX (User Experience), by the HMI (Human-Machine Interaction) and Ergonomics (physical and cognitive) performance of vehicles, both during actual vehicle development and in research activities.


In the vehicle UX division we conduct research to collect and analyze customer behavior through a variety of qualitative and/or quantitative methods and collaborate with other functions to understand and incorporate the technical requirements into research.


Your project
This project aims to study the usage of electric vehicles (EVs) from a customer-centric approach. The objective is to understand the behaviour and attitudes of EV users, their motivations, and challenges.

Especially, main mission would be to identify areas where the current BEV user-journey is lacking and seek to identify and conceptually consider specific experiences that would enhance the journey.

To accomplish this goal, the following activities you will assist in vehicle benchmarking of new innovative UX concepts, surveys and interview, data analysis and writing of recommendations based on findings.

The outcome of this project will provide valuable insights into the behaviour and attitudes of EV users, which will be useful for improving the design of future EVs.

And that helps us to identify the priority values for EU customer where innovation is most appreciated and prioritizing new EU & Toyota appropriate, innovative solutions.

Your Profile:

  • Student in Cognitive Engineering, Cognitive Science, Human computer interaction, Psychology or similar
  • Language: fluent English
  • PC knowledge (Microsoft Office)
  • Good communicator, happy to work in a multicultural environment
  • Open minded, with interest in different cultures and uses
  • Good selforganisation and time management
