  • Role Summary
  • As the Sr. Specialist Business Development & Strategic Partnerships, you are responsible for achieving clear BD targets as well as running the daytoday operations of the BD and Strategic Partnerships Team.
You are a professional specialized in developing and implementing large-scale commercial/strategic relationships with major organizations in accordance with Talabat overarching regional objectives, strategic goals, and strategies


It means you look for new Business Development opportunities and commercial partnerships, develop the relationships and craft commercial win-win agreements.


  • You ensure these are delivered in the best possible way. You don't stop there, you analyze results, and improve the relationship and results where possible.
  • What's On Your Plate?
  • Develop and maintain (new) longterm regional strategic Business Development partnerships with companies in all sorts of industries (including Airlines, FMCG, Telecom, Banking, etc.)
  • Build knowledge, on the potential industries and the business to identify major opportunities
  • You ensure that there is a pipeline of new potential strategic partners based on the setout focus areas
  • Use business analytics expertise to proactively identify and realize opportunities to increase revenue
  • Develop new partnerships through cold calling, networking, and warm leads with the aim to build longlasting strategic partnerships.
  • Work together with the partnership director to close commercially viable partnerships that will significantly improve our business
  • Close commercially viable partnerships for vouchers, tPro and occasionally banking
  • Deliver on the partnerships
  • Orchestrate the day to day Partnership initiatives where you manage numerous projects strategically and concurrently (Working crossfunctionally with product, sales, finance, legal, and marketing to launch and maintain partnerships)
  • You ensure that the partnership related customer endexperience is perfect
  • You'll work with the marketing and analytics teams to accelerate any partnerships you have in place
  • Similarly, you provide ongoing feedback to various internal and external stakeholders on the partnerships' process and achievements
  • You ensure that all financial workstreams are correct
  • What Did We Order?
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Regional Business Development / strategic partnership development.
  • Strong experience in sales to major organizations
  • Experience in marketing, or a related field focusing on developing and closing commercially viable proposals is a plus
  • Proven track record in closing major BD deals
  • Proven multistakeholder project management skills
  • Exhibit a strong track record of ontime project delivery for large, crossfunctional projects, preferably in mobile platforms or Ecommerce domains
  • Strong analytical mindset, using data to substantiate your business cases and strategic conclusions
  • Highly resourceful, able to think outside the usual solutions
  • Professional representation; able to showcase effective communication with various external and internal stakeholders (oral and written)
  • Attention to detail and resultsdriven personality
  • Highly motivated and proactive individual, able to flourish with mínimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
  • DubFluency in English. Arabic is an added advantage
