Medior/Senior Data Lead / Business Analyst


For one of our customers, a multinational in Antwerp, we are looking for a Medior/Senior Data Lead / Business Analyst.


Function
The department that is concerned has several strategic digitization initiatives ongoing and in the pipeline. You will be responsible for managing all data related aspects of that department.

This entails full responsibility for the migration towards a new data platform to derive value from raw data and support the department in their day-to-day operational and decision-making processes, as well as provide insights/analysis where required.

Additionally, market intelligence initiatives are part of the scope to enable Category Managers and buyers to gain necessary insights in their markets.


With a continuous emphasis on a more standardized, automated and digitalized way of working, the vision is to bring the department to the next level in terms of digitalization and standardization to become a truly data-driven organization.


Consultants control and follow-up all aspects of the data projects by regular meetings and take the necessary actions to assure that projects are delivered "on time in full and within budget".


Primary responsibilities

  • Enable successful transformation towards new modern data platform
  • Take full ownership & responsibility of all data and analytics initiatives, including defining and executing vision and roadmap for our internal analytics tool
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and ensure business needs are covered in reporting
  • Collaborate closely with developers to translate business requirements into clear user stories and functional specifications
  • Present relevant insights to key stakeholders (a.o. category managers, MT)
  • Enable market intelligence insights
  • Act as liaison between the different teams and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and understanding of requirements, contracts and project progress
  • Provide training, support and documentation to end users and drive the change

Technical profile requirements

  • Strong functional knowledge of platforms (e.g. Azure), data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) and ETL tools (e.g. TimeXtender
- we will train you)

  • Knowledge of purchasing, transportation and trade compliance processes is a plus
Eager to gain understanding and knowledge of business needs


Profile requirements

  • Master degree (IT, economics, sciences,) or equivalent by experience
  • 5 years of experience with data and analytic projects, including business analyst role
Proficient at gathering and documenting requirements from stakeholders and translate it towards the technical team

  • Strong analytical skills
