Job Purpose and Impact:

The Strategic Pricing Manager leads the development and deployment of pricing strategies, processes and projects across Cargill Sweeteners, Starches & Texturizers Europe.

In this role, you will drive profitability, pricing, margin, and portfolio optimization projects across the business groups to provide continuous optimization of critical pricing capabilities such as value based pricing, consumer and retail pricing, big deal pricing and negotiations and pricing science, analytics and technology.

Key Accountabilities:

Develop plans and deliver results in a fastchanging business environment lead the development and execution of pricing strategies to maximize profitability by partnering with various stakeholders, like Product Line, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance.
Lead multiple profitability optimization projects and deploy strategic pricing capabilities for Cargill Sweeteners, Starches & Texturizers Europe and align with their strategies, market dynamics and needs.
Provide advanced knowledge and thought leadership to help define roadmaps and implement initiatives by showing a lead by example implementation style by taking the lead role together with business owners on new approaches for big deal negotiations.
Support the deployment of pricing as an end to end process from strategic considerations to actual price setting techniques, governance and supporting technology.
Continuously evaluate pricing developments and trends to ensure new thought leadership and capabilities are introduced into the various business groups.
Generate hypotheses for profit improvement opportunities, validate with data and facts and develop deployment projects to capitalize on the opportunities.
Provide thought leadership in the execution of different pricing strategies and improve sustainable profitability by partnering with various internal functions, including product line, sales, marketing and finance.
You will serve as an expert in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues/problems. You may provide direction to lower level team members and be a key contributor.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Balancing complex analytics to derive insights from large and complex sets of business data with pragmatism and taking people along.
Ability to take risk and reach a decision with less than perfect fact base in a fastchanging business environment.
Financial knowledge for profit and loss, margin and price decision making.
Experience in successfully improving margins through pricing initiatives
Minimum of six years of related work experience
Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in a related field
Knowledge of costing models in a manufacturing environment
Solid understanding or work experience of riskmanagement concepts and tools
Working across core business functions, such as, marketing, productline management, operations, finance, sales etc.
Strong direct & indirect influencing / leadership skills
