The job

In this role you will manage the day-to-day operations for the energy sourcing processes and tools, and develop analytics to support strategic decisions.

You'll master quantitative models, risks, IT developments, numerous projects related to sourcing.

You will be involved in the sourcing department main tasks consisting in:

Portfolio Management:

For Gas, Power and other energy related products (certificates, guarantees of origin, etc), you manage a network of relationships and contracts, you negotiate best possible deals in line with risk & treasury guidelines.
You identify and monitor the quantities to be sourced, you anticipate on the growth and future needs of the group, align the sourcing needs of the group with its commercial development
You explore and develop opportunities in the midstream and upstream processes to capture increased value in the total chain, for example imbalance management, demandside management
You increase the analytical understanding of the commercial portfolio (consumption / production profiling) to optimize sourcing strategy and increase group's profitability
You bring insights in the P&L effects of the portfolio management and propose measures to improve them

Risk Management:

You monitor closely the open positions (active and / or passive cycles), take the necessary steps to hedge them at the best possible conditions and ensure a very strict appliance of group's risk policies and guidelines
You monitor Mark-ToMarket positions with related parties, ensure that market & credit risks of the group remain within the policies
You optimize hedging tools, process, and strategy
You advise the management on risks & opportunities with quantitative analytics to support eventual decisions

Forecasting:

You operate tools and framework to continuously improve the quality and accuracy of the data exchanged with the different market players
You develop the mathematics, setup the model and challenge the group's performance in forecasting & nomination processes
You closely monitor P&L effects and oversee the endtoend process with aim at increasing effectiveness, efficiency, and profitability of the activity

Pricing:

You support the commercial teams for retail and B2B markets,
You develop the tools to offer on quotes (B2B or retail campaigns)
You monitor sharply the evolution of the wholesale prices and advise the relevant departments on the impacts and opportunities on the commercial strategy and positioning

Is this job for you?

You hold a master's degree in engineering, finance, economy, business engineering, mathematics or physics or related by experience;
You have minimum 3 years of relevant experience;
You are passionate by the energy market, its mechanisms, its key actors and its evolution;
You have a strong business acumen;
You combine analytical and mathematics mastering with strategic overview You are a highly ITliterate, acquainted with big data; You are teamplayer;
You are fluent in English, French and Dutch being strong plus.
