WHAT YOU WILL DO

Strategy & Planning

  • Question the brief, understand the question behind the question, set clear objectives, defining the media challenge
  • Use research to uncover insights that inspire consumer journeys across paid, owned and earned Identify information needs, boosters and barriers in the customer journey.
  • Develop audience segmentations, targeting strategies, digital media strategies and connections plans in paid, owned and earned
  • Challenge media briefs from specialist partner agencies
  • Come up with relevant creative media strategies and novel media channels
  • Develop KPI frameworks and benchmarks
  • Review post campaign reporting and feed learnings back to the media and creative
  • Keep an eye on trends in customer behavior, media and channels; inspire clients and experts in the agency

Collaboration

  • Be the strategic lead for several national and international clients regarding media strategy and connection planning
  • Present and discuss media strategies and connection plans in meetings with existing and potential clients
  • Work closely with accountmanagement, brand planners and creative teams to brainstorm ideas and ensure each media approach is on strategy

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

  • Communications expert with proven experience and strong understanding of media strategy and interplay between paid, owned and earned channels
  • Experience at audience research and segmentation, connection planning and evaluating post campaign results
  • Experience with evaluating KPI's and interpreting brand metrics to help inform planning and activation
  • Analysis skills, to be able to interrogate data and identify actionable insights that inspire strategies
  • Knowledge of digital marketing platforms, analytics platforms and martech
  • Following of new/emerging channels & technologies
  • Strong clientfacing skills
  • Ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
  • Experience of working with a media and creative agencies
  • Experience of working with both account and creative teams
  • Successful trackrecord of managing multiple client assignments simultaneously
  • Fluent in Dutch and/or French and English

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • At least 1 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Over 5 years' relevant experience in advertising or marketing
  • Experience as strategist in brand positioning, integrated brand communication, digital marketing, content marketing and social media
