We are a global market leader in functional food ingredients for both humans and animals, with production sites in Germany, Belgium, Chile and Italy.

With our worldwide distribution network, we market our ingredients in over 75 countries. BENEO is a member of the Südzucker Group.


Your responsibilities:

Gather primary competitive information
- through the entire Sales Network including Sales Network Partners (by using the internal signal file system)
- with the help of external Competitive Intelligence providers for more complex investigations.

Gather secondary competitive information
- by use and adaptation of external news monitoring systems
- by monitoring company profiles for strategy and product portfolio overviews
- by observing relevant marketing activity (websites, social media activity, etc.)
- by conducting database searches on patents
- by gathering and compiling of customs data on products, and by gathering bill of lading data
- by visiting relevant trade fairs, congresses and seminars
- by market observations / estimations on commercial potential of specific ingredients

Processing primary and secondary information and feeding it into internal monitoring tools
Dispatching intelligence in a flexible format to the organization (Management, Sales, Strategy,)
Supporting tactical and strategic initiatives on various competition-related 'ad hoc' questions


Your Profile:

Degree in bioengineering, with an interest in IT systems and commercial business


Specific knowledge:
- good technological understanding in view of BENEO's product portfolio and production processes, in order to benchmark vs competition

  • Strong communicator, to spread intelligence throughout the organization
  • Very good knowledge of English next to any of the other languages spoken in our multinational organization (French, Spanish, German, Mandarin Chinese)
- ability to work in a multinational team
