Compass Group is

the world's largest supplier of Food Services, catering to companies, institutions, schools and the healthcare sector. In Belgium, we employ some 1,500 people and operate under brands including Eurest, Medirest, Scolarest, Xandrion, Gourmet Invent and Tom & Della's.

Position


Compass Group is currently actively seeking a Chief Commercial Officer for their new offices in Diegem, a hands-on and passionate people manager with a proven sales and marketing track.


  • You are
    responsible for all commercial results of the Compass Group in Belgium. To achieve or exceed its objectives, you
    develop the commercial strategy and work out a
    sales and marketing plan.
  • You train, motivate and lead a sales and marketing
    team of 20 people with 6 direct reports. Besides your
    strategic guidance, you also give them
    operational support on their daytoday business activities in order to reach their objectives.
  • You are always actively looking for
    new business opportunities. On one hand you build and maintain strong longlasting customer relationships that enables your team to
    grow the business within existing clients. On the other hand you take up initiatives and you call upon your network to attract new clients.
  • You work closely together with all
    internal stakeholders and other departments in order to
    optimize collaboration to secure the functionality of business to drive quality service and sustainable growth.
  • As a
    key member of the executive management team, you report directly to the CEO.
Profile

  • A proven and track record of
    commercial expertise in a multilevel service & sales environment. Acquaintance with Facilities, Food or Professional services is a plus.
  • At least
    10+ years' leadership experience in managing a sales and marketing department or organization.
  • Experience in
    developing and implementing strategies, action plans and roadmaps based on market developments and trends.
  • Experience with the development of
    S.M.A.R.T sales objectives, strategies and tactics**.
  • A people manager, leading by example with
    strong communication skills and enthusiasm that gets the best out of individuals and motivates them in order
    to create a happy and successful team.
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence
    all levels of the organization, including executive and Clevel.
  • Open and welcoming of
    change and innovation.
  • Excellent listening,
    negotiation and presentation:
  • Attention to detail and
    organization in daily tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in
    Dutch, French and English.
