Your responsibilities:

From a concept or design (basic engineering), you make the necessary mainly mechanical partial designs and implementation plans (detail engineering) of a machine or product.
You are responsible for drawing up your own design drawings: drawing up plans and detailed drawings of parts/constructions that are manufactured both internally and externally, or directing (junior) product developers in this regard.
You build your own concepts and go through the different phases: ideation, concept, first prototype, production prototype and 0series.
You ensure the optimizations of existing designs, working closely with Customer Service, Manufacturing and QA in identifying issues.
You introduce ideas for optimizations within your own department as well as interdivisionally. To this end, you keep yourself informed of the latest technological developments through trade fairs, training courses, supplier visits...
You maintain good contacts with colleagues from the various departments, as well as with suppliers and subcontractors.
You work on new concepts that will improve our incubators, together with the incubation specialists.

Your profile:

You have a Master's degree in a technical direction or are equivalent through experience.
You have several years of relevant experience in a design/development/design position.
You have an allround technical knowledge with extensive knowledge of metalworking (welding, bending, machining...), surface techniques (coatings) and plastics (injection molding...).
You show a strong sense of initiative and can work autonomously.
You have an innovative, resultoriented mindset.
You thrive when working in a team. You are good at connecting with different people/functions inside and outside the company (R&D department, production floor, suppliers, customers, reporting to management).
You have a knowledge of Solid Works 3D and/or similar packages.
