At Terumo Cardiovascular (TCV), we develop, manufacture and distribute medical devices for cardiac and vascular surgery with an emphasis on cardiopulmonary bypass, intra-operative monitoring and vascular grafting.

This includes a full-line of perfusion products, electromechanical products, endoscopic vessel harvesting products and surgical stabilization products.


Job Summary:


The Surgical Support Specialist is part of the Terumo Cardiovascular EMEA team and reports into the Cluster Manager TCV, Michael Brauner.

The main responsibility of the Surgical Support Specialist is to lead the provision of clinical, technical and educational support to HCP's throughout EMEA territory and to support sales of, and customer support for TCV surgical products portfolio.

The scope of the role is to focus activities for 50% on Germany and 50% on other entities within the EMEA region.

German residency and ability to travel +50% of the time are a prerequisite to be eligible for this position.


Responsibilities:


Sales Support

  • Support sales and marketing of cardiovascular products for cardiac surgeons
  • Control and manage demo equipment
  • Complete necessary documentation and customer service phone calls
  • Notify representatives of issues requiring followup
  • Maintain current knowledge of products, programs, services, and competitors
  • Communicate effectively with customers and other Terumo associates

Clinical and Technical Support

  • Provide clinical and technical assistance during surgeries and followups
  • Conduct field clinical investigations and research solutions to inquiries
  • Represent Terumo in a professional manner

Educational Support

  • Organize and conduct training programs for clinicians, hospital personnel, and office staff
  • Coordinate training for sales representatives and hospital staff
  • Stay informed about trends and new product developments

Seminar / Trade Show / Symposiums

  • Participate in technical events and provide clinical and technical information to customers

Product Development

  • Provide product development requirements to manufacturers
  • Coordinate clinical evaluations of enhanced or new products
  • Participate in planning and executing clinical studies
  • Provide technical assistance for PPR investigations to TE QA

Profile Description:


  • Minimally requires technical or science university degree with additional training/certification in cardiovascular surgery, nursing or other relevant technical discipline
  • 5+ years' work experience in hospital/clinic, cardiovascular setting (operating room environment)
  • Affinity with sales and tailored customer approach
  • Excellent presentation and training skills
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken). Other languages a plus
  • Willingness to travel + 50% of working time in all EMEA territory
