    JOB DESCRIPTION We are looking for a Transportation Operations Specialist to join our site in Tessenderlo. If you want to contribute to one of the most successful logistics organizations, this is a great opportunity to join our Transport team

    Your Role

    You will join our team of experts and take ownership of delivering excellent performance in all the Transport activities assigned to you. The mission of the Transport team is to satisfy the customer's need and ensure Time in Full shipments in close collaboration with the Customer Service warehouse and the Supply chain departments. You will focus on daily shipment planning, freight bill auditing, and carrier performance management. This is to secure the day-to-day activities and ensure that targets are met.

    Your Responsibilities

  • Freight bill auditing: audit freight invoices, create monthly transport invoices to customers, manage freight cost claims, manage freight cost approval and payment, follow-up profitability;
  • Event management and exception handling in TMS: follow-up shipment status transmission, handle event notification, manage reason codings in system/reporting, exception management, ensure proactive communication & solutions;
  • Coordinate pick/delivery capacities of carriers daily by customer forecast/order profile and handle deviations;
  • Transport Planning and bookings of customer orders with different Carrier;
  • Complaint handling;
  • Monitor agreed Carrier Service levels and handle corrective measures in case of non-compliance;
  • Generate relevant transport data and reports from the TMS system;
  • Load planning and slot booking through booking portals;
  • Close cooperation and permanent communication with different internal and external stakeholders (. carrier, customer, warehouse staff, and other KN departments)

    • Your Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business school /Logistics, engineering/Transportation,
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a Transportation / Logistics environment with a focus on Freight bill auditing,
  • Carrier performance management, and advanced knowledge of Transport management and analysis;
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to fulfill critical tasks - you are organized and able to meet deadlines;
  • Autonomous and rigorous, you are known for your great interpersonal skills and your mastery of customer relations. You can work in a team, demonstrate flexibility, stress-resistance and take responsibility;
  • Fluent written and spoken English is required;
  • Software knowledge and usage: advanced MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word). Experience in using Transport management systems is an asset.
