SUMMARY
Responsible for the Health & Safety EMEA-I and Facility Management Belgium.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
SAFETY
***
MANAGEMENT: You assure/follow-up of required safety trainings and coordinate with the Human Resources Department. You will be the instructor for internal trainings / Toolbox talks.
You are regularly present in the workplace as part of the dynamic risk management system.
You will detect hazards, contributes to risk analyzes and proposes preventive measures to improve the welfare of employees. Each report should be treated with priority by you.
You carry out in cooperation with the hierarchical line incident and accident analysis, and you will contribute to the development of preventive measures. All this fits naturally into the goal to aim for 0 accidents.
You formulate opinions as to the selection, purchase, use and maintenance of equipment as well as the organization and layout of the workplace.
You will participate in various safety inspections.
You attend the meetings of the Committee for Prevention and Protection at Work and provide its secretariat (if any).
You carry out administration such as the preparation of monthly safety activity reports, meeting minutes monthly safety meeting EMEA-I, commissioning reports, supervise instruction cards,
You support the employer in the preparation of the Global Prevention and the Annual Action Plan.
You follow the statutory inspections and represent EMEA-I in audits.
You will follow very closely the evolution of legislation.
You are the lead person on safety and are the main partner to coordinate and liaise with all Branch Managers across EMEA-I.
You coordinate with the external safety partner.
You follow-up / organize all safety related trainings
FACILITY

MANAGEMENT: Overseeing the contracts and providers for water, electricity, gas, cleaning, and security services and work with sourcing and the Operations Director on new contract negotiations.
Ensuring that basic facilities are well maintained, such as: HVAC installation, Fire Protection, Burglar alarm. You do this by ensuring that maintenance and inspection is carried out on time. That identified problems are fixed.
You are the internal point of contact for everything related to the building. When the works require too much expertise or specific labor resources, you contact third parties to solve problem.
You have dotted line operational responsibility to the Global Safety Manager located at Corporate Headquarters

IFICATIONS
Level 2 certified prevention advisor
A self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
Excellent Management, verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills are all essential
Strong coordination and follow-up skills
Willingness to travel (+/- 5x/year)
Able to easily get in contact with different people
A handyman who has technical knowledge and who is able to solve issues (hands-on).
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 3 years of proven Safety Management experience.
You are familiar with the CODEX (Wellbeing at Work)
Experience with facility management is an asset
This position requires an individual who is highly organized who excels at multitasking and can implement and maintain processes
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Fluent in Dutch and English. Any other language is an asset.
