About the role:

Energy Transition markets are a priority in Bekaert's growth plans. Therefore, the team aims to identify & develop strategic opportunities in these markets. To be successful and to accelerate growth, we are looking for an Energy Transition Strategy Manager.


Your Impact as a Strategy Manager Energy Transition**:

  • You participate in the development of our global Energy Transition portfolio by assessing business segments and defining business cases for organic / inorganic growth and transformational opportunities.
  • You support key decision makers in making strategic choices through a broad range of quantitative and qualitative analyses and by facilitating their implementation.
  • You identify, develop and implement business strategies for new solutions, technologies, business models and markets.
  • You explore and analyze attractive acquisition targets and you are involved in related analysis as part of the due diligence process.
  • You coordinate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to drive efficient projects leveraging best practices across functions.
  • You take the lead in different projects by assessing internal information, facilitating workshops & working with internal stakeholders.
  • You will report to the Strategy Lead Energy Transition.

About You:


Essential skills & competencies:


  • You have a Master degree or similar with affinity for technology.
  • You have at least 3 years of work experience in strategy consultancy, industry research or in a corporate strategy environment.
  • You are passionate about the Energy Transition and its technological developments and have a visionary mindset.
  • You have proven experience in project management.
  • You have a strong analytical, data driven, conceptual mind to define wellprepared business proposals.
  • You are highly trained in collecting information through different sources (from desk research to conducting expert interviews).
  • You are highly motivated in solving BtoB industry business insight gaps.
  • You are a change champion that makes processes to a success through a structured way of working, empathy and resilience.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and conviction power with exposure to executives.
  • You are willing to travel occasionally.
  • You are willing to work in a hybrid working environment that switches between home office and work office, which means you can be located outside of Belgium.
