About the job

As R&I PB spoonable cat lead, you will be leading the spoonable category R&I team in the international Danone's Plant Based Research & Innovation team, which is part of Danone's worldwide community. You are responsible for the development and delivery of superior spoonable product & process innovations and renovations for our consumers. You work closely together with R&I teams in the European and beyond CBU's in order to develop consumerrelevant and competitive products. Our pilot factory and PB R&I center is located in the south of Belgium (Wevelgem) together with most of your team. You report directly to the Int. Plant Based R&I director._

About the job

You lead a team of 6 Research & Innovation experts;
You plan the resources to enable inno & reno project completion within time& budget;
Within R&I, you are responsable for the Alpro brand (spoonable part);
On a daily basis you connect with UX, IPRO, local & central R&I, operations, QFS, marketing teams to develop & deliver appropriate inno/reno roadmaps;
You trigger research initiatives that provide competitive advantage by technology;
You setup for consumer centric breakthrough innovation at affordable cost and big scale;
You are key expert within important business fora within the EU plant based category.

About you
In order to be successful in this role, we believe:

You hold a PhD or master degree within food science and engineering.
You have 10 years of experience in the food industry, preferably within R&D
You are experienced in food processing, preferably fermentation processes
You are experienced leading a team, leading projects in an international context
You have a true passion for (plant based) food, sustainability, health and nutrition.
You are impactoriented, pragmatic, an entrepreneur that can manage change and transform the company
You are a persuasive and enthusiastic person, with strong positive attitude and excellent people skills
You are flexible to travel frequently within Europe
You are fluent in English, knowledge of other languages is a bonus (Dutch, French, Spanish)
